Chaos Project

Bringing back my DA account from the dead, decided to draw more as of late.

I've uploaded 2 today actually (Rain, and a sketch of my warlock :p)
I'll probably draw more today as well, really feeling it.

It has a very "clean" quality while still retaining the appearance of a sketch.
The use of a colored background in stark contrast to the monochromatic sketch is an interesting choice that really makes it "pop" off the page.

(Sorry, I'm not much of an art critic.  :^_^': )

that's fine, the contrast is exactly what I was going for in that piece, I wanted the little android girl to stand out obviously against the background :)

I'm going to ninjabump this because I drew a new picture last night.

Amaranth is a character I'll be running in an online Scion game with some friends (also you can check out my deviantid if you haven't yet)

It's an interesting clothing style, kind of similar to Purple. Simple, but striking is usually the way to go.

The angels are a bit sharp, but that's part of the style and it gives it a "crisp" feel, so I like it.

Honest criticism... the colors feel a bit flat. The shading itself is fine, it's more like the selective use of color. The simple dark green and brown leather works for Amaranth, but I felt the colored highlights used in Purple worked a bit better.

Anyway, it looks fantastic! I really like the black and white sketch against the colored background; it creates a really cool effect. (I actually had something productive to say, but then I saw Tyril's comment, and I was distracted by giggling so I forgot what it was.)

I used more subtle colors on Amaranth because she's a character who dresses practically as she spends a lot of time on the move or camping or hiding and trying to not be seen.

Thanks for the critique though, I'll keep it in mind.
