After a long wait Mechwarrior 4 is finally here. It was supposed to be released last August but wasn't due to legal complications. The download went live yesterday (or the day before, I can't really remember) and was being simultaneously downloaded by 10,000 people when the server crashed. There was a total of 100,000 unique hits from around the world before the server crashed.
The server was set back up today and the free release of MW4 is now going ahead again. It can be downloaded at http://mektek.net (http://mektek.net).
I've been waiting for this a long time now, especially since my copy of the game got severely damaged a few months before the announcement for the free release :(
Not sure how many Mechwarrior fans are on this forum but if you never played now's a great time to start :)
I played MW4 for a while, but there wasn't enough change and after you figure out a few of the best setups, you realize how monotone the game actually is. :/ It's still a fun game, though. It's just not something you play for too long.
Yeah, I usually play for an hour or so, but it's a fun multiplayer game to play with a few friends ^_^
Also, another update, people were having problewms downloading the game via MTX (Mektek's Downloading client) so Mektek is due to release self-extracting executable files instead until the issues with MTX are resolved:

I wonder if Domagoj (the guy who worked with me on Shaman and works now on King's Legacy) is still doing stuff for MekTek. I remember that he did some 3D models and stuff. xD
