Title: gif support script for XP
Post by: Holyrapid on May 28, 2010, 02:51:57 am
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG_Maker_XP (http://According to wikipedia) youc can use gif files in RMXP, but to make them animate, you need a script. So, now i´d like this script to be either digged for all of our pleasure, or if it's rubbish in one or more ways, be created by one of our talented scripters.
Thank you in advance.

That's false information. I was laughing my ass off when I read that the other day.

I just read it and it sounded pretty lame:
QuoteHowever when using GIF  animation images, a script must be input into the database for the animation to display, otherwise the image is inanimate.

like, what the hell! XD

But by no means is it misinformation. I downloaded a demo from a Japanese site long ago which could animate GIFs. I think it was 66RPG's site, I could be wrong (Cogwheel's site is another possibility).

If you have a GIF reader, you can do that. But the default RGSS doesn't support GIFs.
