I own a crappy Windows XP computer, with a drive that I have never needed to use until now. I just got Starcraft 2, and my CD-RW driver will not detect it! I tried it on Warcraft 3, and it detected it just fine.
(This is me throwing out a dumb idea) Maybe the game is not a CD ROM disc, maybe it's DVD ROM. (Excuse my idiocy, I don't play games on PC.)
Ill try inserting my favorite movie, In Bruge (on DVD) in my computer and see if that picks up.
*tries*
Yep, its a CD-Rom only drive. Is there a way to make mine a DVD drive as well? Is there a software for that? Or do I need a new drive :<_<:
I think that is the actual hardware. =/

If your computer doesn't even have a DVD drive, I highly doubt it meets the system requirements for Starcraft 2, as I've heard it's quite a system-intensive game. Of course, it could be wrong.
EDIT: I just looked up the minimum specs, and they're not as bad as I thought; you probably won't have trouble. You can get USB DVD drives for fairly cheap, and that would probably work just fine.
My computer skims the bottom of requirements. For instance, I can play Toribash no problem, but I have to turn off blood, leave it at low quality, and I mustn't put the frame rate too high.
Edit: Figures my moms laptop is filled with enough word documents to fill a 32 GB hard drive down to 2.9 GB, I can't install a 12 GB game onto it. Also, same problem for my brothers computer, except porn instead of word documents.
Delete his damn port then xD

Also, none of my mouses (for some unkown and fucked up reason) work on any laptop of any kind.

Sounds to me like your whole family should upgrade their computer situation. A 32GB hard drive is a bit outdated, to say the least.
My desktop's hard drive is only 30GB. Basically you can find an identical model of my comp online for $90. NEW. ._.
