Title: another disaster averted
Post by: Ryex on August 26, 2010, 02:14:18 pm
this morning when I turned my computer on the bios loaded and then it just stopped while truing to boot windows. it was just that black screen with the blinking cursor in the top left corner. it did the same thing when I tried to go into the boot menu. i concluded that my bios was some how fed up. I managed to get in to setup and turn through boot sequence on, not sure why I thought that would help, after a 4-5 minute boot time windows succeeded in loading. thinking I had fixed the problem i turned the boot sequence back to minimum, the problem returned. so going back to through I re-flashed the bios and THAT solved the problem.

my skill at solving these kinds of problems is a testament to how many times I've had to deal with them

Just lol! I always find it hilarious how the most annoying little problems have the simplest solutions.

and the thing is it took me 10 minutes max for me to solve this problem, everyone else I know would not of even be able to begin, as in, get windows to boot.
