Title: First Day playing around in C4D
Post by: Landith on October 03, 2010, 07:31:37 am
Well I was playing around in C4D today as I just got it yesterday and I'm kinda happy with all I can do with it so far. Still working out everything but so far it's hot.
I have a semi-finished intro I've done with text, I just have to finish it up in After Effects with Optical Flares, maybe some light particles coming from the bottom and a depth of field 3D shading line going along it as the camera moves about the text then it will be finished.

Anyways here is a little sample of what I did in about 5 minutes after doing the intro thingy. It kinda shows what I did with the other one but has more and can loop so yeah...

Only like 2 seconds of video.

Watch in HD for the full effect :D

Respect. It's good, albeit a bit overused of an effect.

Text shattering and reforming? That's a pretty overused effect.

Oh...you meant the effect in general? I thought you meant he was overusing a certain effect in his work, Lol.

Nah, man. In truth, I still like the effect. I just had to be the one to say something about it's usage.

@Diokatsu:
I see, I see...
Well I'm not too familiar with this kind of stuff, and that said...the fact that I've seen it around before proves your point.

@Landith:
I say good job!

Lol. Guys, guys, it's all good enough arguing :P

Thanks everyone, it's still my first day so the text shattering and reforming is the only thing I know how to do at the moment :P
But of course I'm going to learn more.

The next step is trying my hand at 3D modeling of a hand and then making a window that will shatter and fall to the floor and stay. I think that would be pretty cool. Then maybe I could model a gun and a bullet and have it flying at the window with air coming out behind the bullet and a flash on the muzzle to make it look like someone shot the window :O

Idk yet but I'll definitely update this with my progress on C4D :D
