Chaos Project

After The Prince and the Pauper (a game i was working on) got frcked up due to the damn computer, i decided that it'll be a bore to restart it. So i was playing Kirby and i got this idea! This is an Rpg in which you play as Kirby and have to defeat King Decede (or whatever) for reasons unknown (for now).

The Story:-
King Decede has evil plans and yes, only you can stop it as Mario is on vacation and is the King's friend anyways. You have to travel in different dungeons and forests, overcome perils and travel to different towns to get to the evil King.

The Kirby Battles:-
Now, i'm finding MANY..i say.,MANY sprites available to make it an ABS (action battle system) type game in which D slashes and X Hacks...but that'd ruin the point of RPG and i don't know how to do that properly. So, in the start you have normal attack(you know, just attack) and a special FLY ATTACK. Now, fly attack is nothing more than a silly upgrade of the normal attack and does 10 extra damage..
Each forest has as specific enemy, or a max. or 2-3 enemes. Once you finish the forest you can get the enemies powers.
Eg. If you finish the first forest, you are going to get the beam power.
Yeah, I told you the secret. Just to explain. Plus, you only get one power because the Beamer has the beam power which you get and the Waddle Dee doesn't have any powers (just like in the game)

Powers include:-
Beam (You know, it's just a small beam of light. Hit's all enemies but in a low damage)
Sword (Hits one enemy-Mediocre)
Kickboxer (hits one enemy, mediocre)
Cutter (hits all enemies, low)
Stone (Increases Defense)
Elemental powers like fire, ice, wind....?electricity? etc are also available.

The Enemies:-
From Waddle Dees and Beamer guys, to King Golems to King Decede...you get almost every enemy present in Kirby And the Amaz. Mirrors and Kirby Super Star (as they are the ones i'm emulating. Especially Amazing Mirrors which i'm on the verge of beating ^_^)

Gameplay:-
Didn't make it like Zelda and all so when you choose an attack Kirby just moves his hands or something and attacks. Well, yeah. Like any RPG you roam around towns etc collecting stuff with sidequests. You also have PKMN style Hm's. Get it? If you have BEAM, for egg sample (get it?), you can break rocks..etc..

Will this ever happen or are you blabbering it out? And how much have you done of this? BLIZZARD!??!

I once made my own Kirby Action Figure out of wood... i broke it and lost it however...

You get to play as Bowser , Kirby , MArio, Meta knight (if i can find his sprites)


it now may have an ABS due to the inavailibility of battle animations

Wolfi, I just replied to this on RMRK, I didn't realize you had an account here. Well, I'll just say I love Kirby once more, and this game intrigues me, especially the ABS on 2003. I especially like how 2003 and 2000 do not lag after a flood of events (It really only lagged for me when a large picture appears). I'll be definitely looking forward to this. :3 Make sure to have some of your own Kirbies, with a nice twist, and a lot of the ones. If you need some Kirby knowledge, you can look at me too, as I played the majority of the Kirby games.

Anyways, the demo may no come out for a while as it's stil kinda in the starting. Once a specific part of the game is completed, i will post a demo ^_^

The Kirby system rather doesn't emphasize story much, but it puts more emphasis at the stage you are in and the sub stages within them. I mean something like Kirby's Adventure, where you have to go each world to world, from Butter Building to Orange Ocean...per se. Are you doing this method? Or are you going to put some big thing on story and less on the stage system?

By the way, one more question. Does Kirby speak in this game besides the "Poyo!" and the "Hii!"? :P Like fluent English...

EDIT: Nightwolf, Blizz-ABS now pretty much owns every other ABS. The only thing that is left to do is Ally AI. Then it will be superior to any other ABS out there. <3 I suggest using it, especially since it's so easy to configure. <3 Try v1.95 or v1.96. <3 <3 <3

to tell you the truth blizzard, i love your ABS i just dont like the hud.

if u wanna use the abs than request for someone to make a hud it may not be as good as blizz's lagwise though

I'm very small young and my brain is no more than a peanut (a big peanut, though) so I'm not exactly getting this . If you're trying to say that i'm leaving out the different types of stages and kirby stage systems out of this, then no, i'll be concentrating on that too.

That's true, the game was fun. Kirby was never anything extra ordinary, but it was always fun to play Kirby games. I also liked Kirby 64. Kirby's Dream Land 2 for Game Boy was my first Kirby game. :3

whats your fave Kirby? Sword Kirby has always been mine, I wonder what Kirby's like when absorbing Meta Knight in Brawl...

Many people would say Ninja Kirby or of that sort, because it's just plainly a ninja. It's not that great of course. I really love UFO Kirby, just hate that it lasts such a short time. Rather, needing all of the Kirbies is mandatory to really get all the secrets in a way, but I just love every one...

I was talking about the stage system, the traditional Kirby play style. It seems to me that you're retaining it though, and that's good.

He only spoke English in one game. And I don't mean English like "Hii!" or "Pew!" or whatever, fluent English. What is this game? It's known as Kirby's Avalanche. Yes, in this Puyo Puyo clone for the SNES, Kirby was talking. As was Waddle Dee. And Mr. Bright & Mr. Shine. And Poppy Bros. And Bronto Burt. And...the list can easily go on. But it may not count as it was a third-party (Second-party technically but Puyo Puyo was a third-party kind of thing). :\

I like the 2 GBA kirby games, which are the amazing mirror and nightmare in dreamland. And kirby 64 which is cool cuz you can mix 2 powers ;-;

Learn to count Valcos! And erm...I should learn to count too. Somehow I feel like you did that on purpose however. Besides, it's the execution 4Kids has done to Kirby that made it a little bad. I wouldn't say Kirby: Right Back At Ya was a bad show, it certainly wasn't 4Kids's worst *COUGHCOUGHONEPIECECOUGHCOUGH*, but it really kind of downed the whole Kirby stuff. If you ever played the games, especially the GBA Platformers, you'll find that it is a great series. I wish someone makes a ROM hacking utility for it--In fact, I'll check right now! :D

I dont like 4kids either... besides the fact im not really a "kid" anymore :P but still their shows have gotten worse since, i used to watch it :-\.

Kirby's an alien, a martian, a pink puffball that is very imaginary! The fact is that Kirby is some species no one knows makes it very creative and original however, and there's an enduring feature about it that appeals to everyone. Really, Kirby is although all innocent and cute, the gameplay is fun enough and there's some dark atmospheres to attract some gloomy people.
