I AM BACK OPEN AND ACCEPTING NEW REQUESTS OR W/E
FYI: MIDI is the type of music file that most old games use (especially old-school RPGs) because the file size is very small. They are somewhat simple compared to mp3s, but about 1/40 times the file size. All the music that comes with rpg maker is in midi format.
I can do edits of MIDIs AND ORIGINAL PIECES with particular feels/instruments that you request. I'm only going to work on one or two at a time, and I don't think that I will have too many requests come by here, but always feel free to post even if i'm busy. It will take me anywhere from one week to a month per request usually.
I can also review and help you with your own musical creations. Just ask!
About my music background: I've played the Piano for 8 years, the violin for 6, and I'm a huge music fan. I can tell what notes/chords are being played by ear and have tons of experience playing, but not as much composing. Therefore, Winkio's MIDI Studio is now open. (BTW, as a rule, all the stuff I make is open source, so I will work with you to create it, but you will not have exclusive rights)
If I'm busy, or you want the help of somebody else, check out http://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=1663.0 (http://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=1663.0)

Wow, that's a lot of experience. If you get good with even MAKING midis, you'll be awesome!
All the best :)
ok whats midis?
Forgot the abbrevation, but they are music files. Instead of containing the data of how the sound is every instant, MIDIs contain the method of reproducing the sound (like this:
4 drum beats and hit a key on the piano, repeat that 4 times and blow the trumpet).
i dont get it
basically it's generated by a computer where as MP3 by instruments it also takes up a lot less space, RTP bgms are midis but imo they are bad sound quality compared to MP3's
lol, i still dont understand -_-
and nortos, our relationship is diffrent now that i was first to die :P
Quoteand nortos, our relationship is diffrent now that i was first to die
...what?
in ZTA :P u should join FTS :)
Oh, lol! I don't have the time right now for that, haha..
lol... i was kidding btw nortos
yeah i know were still close susys :D
GAH! MY TOPIC WAS SPAM RAPED!!!!! :o
MIDI is the type of music file that most games use because the file size is very small. They are somewhat simple compared to mp3s. All the music that comes with rpg maker is in midi format.
NO MORE SPAMMING!!! >:(
Oh, and I'll post a bit of my work from time to time here.
Didn't get to hear your sample
hum, can I request something?
Winkio hasn't been active for some while.
Sorry, I forgot about this topic, I'll unsticky it.
lol 1 day before I come back :^_^':
Anyways, I've still been doing a bit of this, I guess I'll post up a new piece or two.
and Blizz, no need to keep it stickied... original music isn't that popular.
and yes, you can request something
and the current sample link is dead. sorry.
I would actually like to request something.
I'm looking for good music for and open battle field. I want it fairly mellow however.
It's set in a winter landscape. I'm thinking of using a wind chime for the main melody, brass bells for the base, with a mild harp or harliquen accompaniment. Possibly a flute or piccolo for repercussion?
so, what I am getting from your request is:
An airy, ringy piece that isn't too fast but is still somewhat peppy, as in major key.
Definitely a winter theme. I don't know what you are getting at with the flute or piccolo though. By repercussion do you mean when the main theme is played again near the end of the piece?
EDIT: and for the brass bells, do you want a more ringy or metallic sound?
I'll start working on it, be looking for a short sample under works in progress up at the top in 1-4 days.
Hmm, for the bells I'm thinking more of a low octave metalic noise, since a wind chime will be the main melody. And I'm thinking of the flute or piccolo accompanying the main melody, to carry the notes a tad longer than the wind chime would. Repercussion was the wrong word, I'm just hoping it'll sound good as an accompaniment for the melody.
If possible can you make the mood of it slightly melancholy? Perhaps have it in a B flat minor key?
That's exactly what I was thinking! OMG! Same key and everything. :O.o: That is really wierd...
Another thing: There is no "wind chime" in MIDI. The closest I can get are the Crystal FX, and the glockenspiel.
The Glockenspiel is like a metallic xylophone, so it is ringy and notes don't last too long. Crystal FX makes a chime-like sound, but notes are more sustained. I'll see which one fits better once I have a good start.
Why don't you just add an echo effect on the metallic xylphone? :O.o:
Actually Crystal FX would work just fine.
Just curious but do you have the sound effect called DeepBlue as well?
No, couldn't find it on google either. If you have a link, I'll download and use, but otherwise, no.
I'm working away...
It's an atmospheric I have on my synth board, always liked the sound of it.
Don't worry though Winkio, and thanks for doing this. :^_^':
Ok, so i just posted up a quick little bit of what I was thinking: There are three samples in one file, each a few seconds long. tell me if you like any of them, or if you want something different.
sweet. i could use a Midi title for my new project. :\ tell me if ur interested in doing it
Actually I love doing titles much better than bgm loops. But let me get some good progress in with Phasedscar and then I'll work with you.
Oh, and im just finishing a recent piece I've been working on, which will go up in samples pretty soon. :)
I got to say that it's starting to sound really good. I especially liked the first sample. The other two the metal bell didn't quite sound right, was just too high of a note for being in a minor scale. Hmm, I can't think of anything those could easily be replaced with on short notice, but the melody sounds good. I liked how the second sample ended.
Oh btw, don't bother making it a loop, I don't particularly care for loops since I can't hear any sort of ending, takes away from the drama. So please, feel free to make this as you see fit. It is, after all, your creation :dj:
ok, I have a good idea of where to go with this now, so it will be a little while (maybe a week, prolly less) before I post up a working version of it. Because I'm still working on finishing two pieces of my own to post up here.
But you must realize, the intro will have to be short, because you don't want to walk around in between battles just hearing the intro, you know?
But I must ask, does it have to be a harp accompanyment? Because I don't really see how it would fit. I think either some low strings or brass would be much nicer. Although if you really want the harp, just say so.
yeah, couldn't agree more actually. I was just thinking about that and I realized that a harp would be WAY too high a tone.
Chello is the polar opposite but it might work better.
Also, take you time, I'm at least a week away from a working demo. Still have a LOT of art to work through before I can get it out. Still, I appreciate your efforts Winkio.
So, I've got my two samples up so now I can turn my full attention to your piece. Take a listen :headphones:
Oh, and since I'm in an orchestra, I have to correct you: it's spelled cello.
EDIT: I just got a good idea and posted it up (same link). Tell me what you think of it. I used a more orchestral sound instead of a single cello. And more of the bells. But tell me what you think.
Absolutely loving that sample Winkio.
What program are you using to write it btw?
Anvil Studio. Nice and Old-School. And free.
But anyways, I think I have enough of a foundation to take off with this, so here i go!
EDIT: Ok, so I posted a new version up(same link again). It's 1:12 i think, so there is definitely room to add more.
yeah take ur time w/his cuz i have no idea how i want mine to sound lol..not yet anyway
Well start thinking. Things I usually need are:
major or minor key
1-3 words to describe it
Things that are optional are:
speed
instruments
specific key
similar piece to compare it to
So really, you should be able to think of the two things I need. Because a title is basically a description of the game.
well i actually want it to sound "SORT OF" like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's Title.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3EOibiVzq4&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3EOibiVzq4&feature=related)
link to the theme music for your reference
Well, I just downloaded the mp3 from google, but thx anyways Diokatsu.
@Chaze: SORT OF
Meaning?
similar Instrumentation?
similar feel/mood?
"sort of like _________" doesn't really tell me anything. What do you like about Oblivion's title?
just the way it sounds really.. lol..the doo doo doo gets in my head..and i want it to relate to that just with your own feel. my game is kinda Middleaged Medieval..like dragons and such. like oblivion lol. its a game relating to dragons so..see if you can get ur own feel if u wish ;P idk i like the orchestral type. just i dont like how oblivion gets soft at the endish. i want mine to stay loud and "buff" or w/e im not good with music words lol..
I love how the flute joins in, blends perfectly with the bells and makes for a nice atmospheric sound.
Not sure about the lowest base tone however, could just be the playback I had but it sounded like it had some static. Overall though that base was really needed, just might want to try a little different.
What's your thoughts about possibly adding in the flute during the intro measures (perhaps the 2nd or 3rd measure as a nod into the later accompaniment?) Nothing too fancy, just to give it that airy feeling.
So far though, I have to say that I'm impressed! You've done an amazing job :)
I was kind of playing around with another idea and I came up with a little something of my own. I'm limited on the number of saves I can do unfortunately once I hit version 1.10 that's it.. lol
City Concert.mid Version 1.01 (http://www.mediafire.com/?ceij03cewxx)
acknowledged on the bass. And I'll see about the flute.
Your's sounds good at the beginning, but in my opinion, the two instruments are too similar in the middle and end, and it all kind of mushes together and I can't really tell what's going on. I would keep the synth strings bass and change the viola to, idk, clarinet maybe. And also, don't try and jam so many notes together at once! :blargh: I like the intro a lot, but in the middle section, just make sure that you aren't using too many note. One thing that I like to do in this situation is listen to it with the tempo slowed waaaaaay down. Then, you can see if it sounds right. Don't get me wrong, I love some of your chords in the middle. But there are some that you definitely need to fix. Try to avoid 2nds and 7ths repeatedly (a few here and there are fine, but not all over the place). Good work though.
Oh, and once your saves run out, try this: http://www.anvilstudio.com/ (http://www.anvilstudio.com/)
I slapped it together at 4 in the morning lol... but yeah, I see what you mean.
All it is is string ensemble1 and 2 lol.
And thanks for the link, does it support direct keyboard input?
phase, do you mind if i can use ur Winter Midi when it's done?. btw nice job with it winkio.
No, I don't.
Just be sure to give proper credit to Winkio.
I'll credit you both ;P
@phasedscar: Yes it does, although I have never used it, so I don't know how good it is.
And with your piece, don't worry about it sounding really wierd. My pieces sounds kinda-like that in the beggining like that too. You just have to slow down and actually LISTEN to what you are composing. Well, at least that was my biggest problem when I started. I know how frustrating it is to have a good idea and not be able to compose it the way it should be.
I guess I will add in the "reviewer" service too. lol.
Oh, and don't worry, I'm still working on finishing the piece.
@chaze: so, what I'm getting from your request is you want an "epic" "buff" "majestic" orchestral piece, similar to oblivion's title. Basically, the stereotypical game music, but w/e. I won't judge. So anyways, big sounding, and "buff." i'll start working on some possibilities while I finish Phasedscar's request.
@anyone who reads this thread: Nobody has commented on my samples! :plz:
I adore those samples. I've been reading this thread and when there's an opportunity I'd love to request something from you. I have some pieces in mind but I want you to be able to finish them. I like themeE2, it's like a battle music to me.
ty :haha: I put you on the waiting list. Once Phasedscar's theme is done I'll be ready.
Ty to you as well. I like The theme H becasue I can't help being reminded of Harvest Moon in the begining. But near the middle and the end, it's like a reunion or an ending theme. I can imagine cherry blossoms and a giant, spacious field.
you're samples are awesome, but I still think the winter theme is your best work i've heard. and don't work on mine yet or close to because i've changed my storyline and such and the "buff" was to match a Dragon Triumph type theme.
ok then. So I will wait on you, which means I can get started with Diokatsu.
@Diokatsu: Whenever you are ready...
how much are you from finishing the winter theme?
I've kinda been avoiding working on it because I need to figure out what to do with it. The whole piece can't sound the same, so I am thinking about how to add another part that will go with what I already have.
Translation: I'm stuck, but still working. Will be finished in a few days with any luck.
I'm pretty much totally new at composition, so yeah... The advice is helpful Winkio.
Phasedscar is :n00b:
And sorry if I'm seeming critical, I truly love the work you've done so far, I'm just trying to collaborate with you so we have a masterpiece :buddy:
And yeah, you're right about the accompaniment, it doesn't fit and ends up getting in the way. I really should just simplify it a little and make it more held notes instead of short staccato eighth notes.
Oh, I was using noteworthy composer, which is alright, just has that save limit with the trial version. Tried out Anvil and it's got an awesome input detector, records every note and even the pitches I was playing at. Thanks for showing me that Winkio!
You're gonna hate me for this, but
does

really keep with the piece as you originally thought of it? or does it take it in a new direction of a new piece?
One of the mistakes I made was abandoning some of my early pieces. Don't do that. You know theme E2(from my samples)? That is the product of me changing themeE. The point is, ThemeE is still it's own, separate, unique piece. Basically, just try and create the original piece you thought of. and if you have to, then take it a different direction, but do it in a new file. Believe me, its worth it. One day, you'll go back and look at your original, and know how to fix it. Stick with it
OHH, lol no no, I mean just edit it.
I wasn't making that piece seriously, was just having fun late last night since I couldn't sleep and I went "oh what the hell, might as well play around and see what I come up with." I like the melody I made, it's just the second instrument that was making it sound kind of muddy. To be honest I didn't have any thought in mind, just kind of made it up as I was playing.
Like I said, it's nothing serious, was just playing around :)
Been a while since I played the board so I thought I'd do it while practicing. If I had more experience writing, me and you would be in the same ballpark. Right now:
Your here...
...
...
...
I'm here...
lol
and Edit: for realllllllly bad sentence structure lol
ok, I was just making sure you weren't scrapping the good parts of it.
Oh, and the difference between us isn't that big. As you will probably soon find out.
And I just made some good progress on the winter theme! FINALLY!!!!!!!
EDIT: Ok, I posted up another little bit to it (same link again). Question is, should I end it there, or if not, how should I end it?
Whenever someone makes a double post, either Aqua or Diokatsu will bark at me and get me out...-_-; ~Love, Starrodkirby86
Yes, I think there was originally another post in between that somebody then deleted, making mine a dp. Srry
ahh..he repeating at the end is a little "meh"
The repeating at the end. do you mean starting at 0:56 (2/3 of the way through) or at 1:12 (5/6 of the way through)?
If you mean at 0:56, I was thinking the same thing, but I will go back and fix that after I have ended the piece.
If you mean at 1:12, I don't think it is very repetitive. Why don't you like it?
actually now that i listen an eding fter that would make 1:12 good. also on 0:56 you should switch sets of notes like..lol
from like every set of 2 change it to be a little higher mabye.
Edit: the ending kinda make it repeat the last 1 and then go down like "do da doooooo" and make the first "gong" sound on the long doooo ;P and check it
Yes, I agree. I fixed 0:56 - 6 measures of the same things is not good at all.
I'm experimenting with different types of endings: a deconstruct (each instrument slowly goes away), a big ending(i don't really think it fits), a clam ending(nothing special), and whatever ending I pick has to loop into the begging.
try to make the ending fit in with the gong like thing at the beginning. so most likely it's going to be lo
thanks for the link in your post. :)
would you like a link in mine?
Sounds incredible so far :D
I don't think you need to alter what you have now, but extend and then tie in the intro to it so that it feels like it's closing. Perhaps have the bells stop chiming for a measure or two and just let the flute do the work?
@chaze - I thought about that, but making it too low would not fit with the rest of the piece.
@shadonking - no problem. And sure, why not.
@Phasedscar - good idea. Tell me what you think of the new version (in case you didn't know, same link).
lol i freakin love it even though it aint mine ;P
well even if I don't add anything more to it, there is still a lot of touching-up to do. This is the part that takes the longest. But since this particular piece hasn't taken that long to mak, touching up should only last a few days at most.
It's absolutely beautiful there Winkio, really sounds good!
Even though it's still early since you've done a wonderful job, can't wait to see it when it's touched up.
This may seem like a strange request, but is there any way you could get me grand piano notes in either midi or wav format(doesn't matter) I've tried on my computer but I can't get it to work without feedback or weird noises, even when using stereo mix, and I can't seem to find actual samples. I only need the sounds for 4 octaves starting from 2nd C. I'd like to provide a decent sound quality with my piano script lol. If you don't feel like it you don't have to of course, but I think better quality sounds would make my script just that much better :P
@Phased: ok, great.
@Berans: wait, you just want a bunch of files with single grand piano notes? If so, yeah, it would take like 5 mins. The question would be what length of note you want(in seconds).
around .5 seconds is what I'm using now and that seems to give a good feel lol. I tried it using anvil studios, bt like I said, my computer sucks and couldn't get an sound files without screwing them up :P
I think I set the beat count to 50 beats per minute and then used 8th notes
.5 seconds is a quarter note at 120 bpm or eighth note at 60 bpm (60/120 = .5). An eight note at 50 bpm is a .6 seconds(60/100 = .6). I'm going to make .5 s notes, unless you want me to make them .6 s.
@all: I have a little more work to do than I had planned(outside of this, I mean), so I won't be working on this as much for a few days. Just an FYI
EDIT: Ok Berans, check to make sure its all in here: http://christiansenryan.googlepages.com/Bernaskeyboard.zip (http://christiansenryan.googlepages.com/Bernaskeyboard.zip)
Thank you very much, they're all there, and terrific quality. This'll make my piano script much better, I'll make sure to credit you
ok, glad to be of help.
EDIT: Ok, surprisingly, I finished all my work and pumped out a new version of Phased's request. I added more depth to some of the instruments and added in a pad just to give it more sound in some places. tell me if you don't like any of the changes.
:] i just cnt wait til it's done. btw...i found my request :D...a world map theme. ill get in more depth later
I apologize that I haven't been so active lately. Blame that on Chrono Trigger and school.
Anyways, after reviewing the Winter field theme again, I found that some additions weren't very good. I posted the fixed version again.
CT and school, that's enough explenation lol :haha:
I'll check it out in a while, a little busy today
I'm thinking of making it longer - it ends too soon.
what do you use to compose becuase i use sibalius and it doesnt have that many intruments.
Anvil Studio - google it. It's free.
thanks i never spotted that :^_^': .
Okay, I'm slightly angry :...:. Why has everyone except for shadonking ignored this thread? This was how I got inactive last time: people ignore me and I don't bother posting myself, and then I kinda drift away into nothingness. To make sure that doesn't happen, I posted a bit in spam and have plans to get reinvolved here.... :shifty:
Phasedscar, Don't just stop posting while im still working on your request. It seriously messes with my motivation. A LOT.
Now, I'm going to try something new. If Phased doesn't post here, I'm going to compose as many undeveloped themes as I can in a few days (I'll shoot for somewhere between 5 and 15) and then have you all vote on which ones I should develop/finish. Since nobody is requesting anything.
Such an interesting ploy winkio. I'm no Phasedscar obviously, so I'm for that MIDI idea now. I haven't been listening to those samples, but from what I'm seeing your work should be really good. And the fact you use a free application, Anvil Studio, it gives mundanes like me a possible shot at music creation. Of course, you still need to follow the rules within music, but surely after listening to various songs and etc. you know what standards one can live by. Being a harsh critic can be good...
i've listened to them all and i like your work, theres just nothing to post about except "how's it coming?" and such until your done
Yes, I guess i wasn't quite clear on my earlier post. Oh well, I'm not going to bother trying to do another long speech.
@Chaze: I know. That's why I'm finding more reasons for people to post. Like my new pieces.
@Starrod: Your post doesn't make very much sense. The last sentences. I'm not seeing your point...
Quote from: winkio on September 11, 2008, 09:15:59 am
@Starrod: Your post doesn't make very much sense. The last sentences. I'm not seeing your point...
I posted late at night, most posts I make then ramble on and on until they bore you with the English language...
I suppose what I meant was that if you were to listen to enough music, you might develop your own personal standards/rules when it comes to music creation. It can also create personal preferences and whatnot, just thinking out loud I assume. My apologies. :/
ok. short re-explpanation of my point: I feel like the only way to really be involved in this forum is creation of resources/scripts/tuts or SPAM. Not that that is such a bad thing, but since I was in a low point in creation and wasn't too interested in SPAM, I was feeling like there should be more opportunities to be active, and was kindad mad that i was becomming inactive just because people weren't posting in this thread (not that it was their fault). That was what I was trying to say.
Anyways, 2 pieces done. :haha:
I think I'll post up at least five at a time.
yo about every one not posting, dont take it to bad. just look at my topic and you will see you get way more posts then me. :'(
Sorry Winkio, I've just been busy with school and trying to find a new job, on top of that I had to format my computer and find the forums again :>.<:. I did listen to the latest version and I really enjoyed it quite a lot. It's really come a long way, I've already placed in my game as my winterfield theme for the South Arlain Mountain range.
Also, now that things have started to settle down for me again, I'll be able to start posting again more regularly.
Sorry it's taken this long :(
And c'mon people, more posts!
Ok Phasedscar. Saying I'm not mad at you would be a lie. But I understand, and it's OK. Next time, try and post that you're busy so that I know. We're still cool :). I'm working on lengthening the piece and adding a new middle section too. It will be done sometime here, if I can get some decent time to work on it. Soccer+Violin+School = A TOTAL BITCH RIGHT NOW. ;)
Awesome, thanks Winkio. Like I said, I got some spare time finally so I'll be posting considerably more then I have the last two or three weeks. I'm looking forward to the new version.
Take your time though, I'm not in a rush and real life stuff is more important. I understand it, believe me.
little update - got the basic idea for the new part down. I though something was missing and I figured it out: the bells didn't have a real part besides the beggining. So they get their chance to be heard in the middle. :haha:
I was about to suggest that lol.
I am alive. Barely :'_':
Not really having time to do anything with this. But soccer is over in three weeks. I';; have more time then.
NP Winkio, I'm currently out of town atm and don't have my project available to edit.
In other words, you got plenty of time. And believe me, I understand, I just spent about 5 hours driving around town getting errands done.
Power to ya!
*powers up*
and umm Request,
Major
4 seperate files just simple ocarina sounds :)
ahh, reviving this old thing :) So much I could post up here... I'll have to get to that some time...
So you want 4 files with ocarina sounds.
1. How long?
2. melodies or just w/e?
Well About 1.5 to 2 seconds Does'nt matter no melodies i might need to request that later...
so you just want 4 notes? To sound major, it would have to be I, III, V, and VI of the scale. I'll upload these now, because I think this is what you want.
http://christiansenryan.googlepages.com/Ocarinanotes.zip (http://christiansenryan.googlepages.com/Ocarinanotes.zip)
If this isn't what you wanted, say so.

Wellllll.....
This is EXACTLY what i wanted :) id power you up but i cant cuz i already did :( Stupid two hour waiting period anzyways GJ GJ Kudos!
What kind of things can you do while making the midi? So.. i have a better idea.
What do you mean? Like effects? Not too much there. I got a reverb effect and an equalizer, and I can sometimes run stuff through the audio lab to tweak it a bit, but not much in terms of effects.
Like, what kind of sounds do you got so you can like mix that shit up?
Most standard instruments and a few sound effects, along with a good amount of percussion. It has enough variety to make a track with any sound you want, but you can't really vary sound within a track.
Limitless sound possibilities for all styles. no joke.
Wondering if you could make me a nice town song sorta like lively but not like mario sorta of in the middle
Does'nt matter which key wichever you think sounds better :)
And um instruments
Slap bass 2[....Bass]
Flute[bg]
Ocarina[lead]
Hmmm just curious... what do you use to make these pieces? :D
Nice work anyways, I <3 MIDI. XD
Anvil Studio. It's a free program, perfectly basic, and I love it, mostly because it has a keyboard and staff for composition (i hate those piano role things)
:D Neat! I've heard good things about it too. ^-^
I agree about the piano role things. I don't get them. :|
XD
update with two "developing themes" just for the heck of it. Recent stuff I've done just while messing around.
Just letting you know that this is being reopened, since it seems that the other music request stations are down. People who had pending requests with someone else can get priority, although anybody can request. And it's still MIDI files only, not MP3s.
Restickied, ready for action.
Have fun composing music, wink. ;) I wonder if I should use for any services in the future...So far there's nothing, as usual.
I thought up a new piece. The beginning is under developing themes on the front page. its Theme2B. I'll probably put some more up soon ;)
Necessary parameters for new piece:
Major
Energetic/mellow Starts slow and towards the end slow so it merges with the beggining =]
Optional parameters for new piece:
150 (Temp)
E (low)
Panflute for rhythm, Acoustic nylon for chords, Piano for breaks and...A slap bass with a 'This Love' sorta feel

Energetic/mellow
XD. I got what you mean, though, and I'll start working on it sunday, once I have time :)
When you will be free, could you do this ?
Name : Alae Fati - Heavens (The Wings of Fate - Heavens)
Sort : Boss/Final Boss Music
Minor Mode
Description : It would begin with a calm, soothing chorus/piano introduction. It would follow with a piano ostinato (replacing percussions) and the main theme (aggressive but beautiful) played by an organ. A violin or a cello would eventually join in.
I might request one, too, but I have to ask a question first: Can you also do things like dark, ambient, industrial sounds? You wouldn't have to care about the details of the sound too much because I would "remix" it using VST instruments anyway.
@Xelias: Okay, you are on the list :)
@Sub: I have a few industrial-ish things, but remember, this is MIDI, so the quality isn't anywhere near as good as MP3 stuff. I'll add you to the list as well, you can always cancel.

As I said, I'll make it a mp3 XD
So, here are the additional informations:
Key: Minor, a few disharmonics
Tempo: slow, around 80-90bpm will do
Instruments: Drum (No shit ^^), Strings (mainly low, some high pitched), Bass (low), some synths, Guitars (Low), Noises & Fx
Should have a dark, melancholic mood, but should still be a bit ambient. Just imagine that you walk trough an abandoned industrial area where plants have grown all over.
So it's a mix between nature and industrial, which should be shown in the song, which means you could also bring in some rather classic parts. Whatever, just be creative^^

panflute at 150 bpm is a no-no. I've got a good idea for a melody that is more suited to 120 bpm anyways. Pan flute sounds good at 120 bpm. I've got a good start on pan flute and nylon. Explain "Piano for breaks " and "A slap bass with a 'This Love' sorta feel" - both how to sound, and what part of the song to play (I don't know is an acceptable answer)
EDIT: here's a link to my idea so far, tell me what you want changed: http://winkio.atbhost.net/TazeroMelongetic.mid (http://winkio.atbhost.net/TazeroMelongetic.mid)
This love is a song by Maroon five It goes... Eh...*goes to get chords*
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------5---4---3--------3------------------------------|
A|---2------2---5---3-----------------------------6---5------------1---------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------4-------------|
I got the Tabs =D
And anvil can convert tabs to notes so chyea...
And piano breaks I mean like all other instruments stop and the piano starts to transition the song to a more fast paced thing =D

You know that these are Guitar Tabs, right?
I know the song. That is not the question I asked. And I definitely am not copying the chords from a copyrighted piece of music.
Now, you need to get more general in your description. Because right now, it isn't going to work:
1. This is MIDI. there are no speed-ups/slow downs.
2. The heavy sound of the bass has nothing to do with the light sound of the pan flute.
3. Again, this is MIDI. Breaks are not good.
If you want, you can tell me how this piece is supposed to fit in to the game, and I can try to make it more fitting to the context.
If you want to keep your request as it is, then you are looking for an mp3.
Oh, please add a piano to my request, but not too much of it XD
I meant for the more active parts x_x'' I meant like this love feel of it with the bassy bass =D
It's meant for an energetic town =P
@Tazero: okay, I have an idea that I think you will like, but it will take a little while to work up.
@ Sub: you're in line, I haven't even started yours yet.

Yeah, but i just wanted to add it before you start.
How is it going?
got caught up in schoolwork, but I'll work on it tomorrow.
EDIT: So I got caught up in a comp sci project, but I'm done now, so yeah, sorry. I'll finish it soon.
Hi, i need a MIDI! :haha:
I want it to be Major key
Description: it has to be very relaxing, it has to make you feel happy and itm has to sound like if it is from middle ages
Specific Instruments: Feel free to add the ones you want but it has to have a violin
Comparative piece: something like Strawberry Swing- Coldplay
Right, I wish I could start this up again, but I have way to much other stuff to do, so sorry :(.
