they took modern fancy sports games and added guns. I'm not sure what to think

Just tried it out.  It's actually like an RPG-shooter hybrid - there's levels, and equipment, and skills, and lots of fun.  It's free to play, but there's a cash store for extra stuff.

S4 League should be really enjoyable among a grouping of friends. I think a Chaos Project S4 group would be pretty cool. I'm pretty adamant on the stance that I'm not really going to try new online games, and especially not shooters, so I'm kind of out here. xD

But from every testimonial I heard about S4 League, they really love it. Just letting you guys know that. :)

yeah, they have a clan system built in.  Also, they have this friend helping system, where once you reach a certain level, you can train your lower level friends quickly and easily.  It seems like a good community too - they have a quick join option that matches you with people of even skill, and everybody has been pretty nice so far :)

well dam. I don't think I've had this much fun in a online game in a long long while. counter sword + anchor skill = epic jump and anchor in for a long distance jump strike

I attempted to download last night and it froze on me, so I said hell with it.

Okay, I'm giving up on this. The installer just keeps freezing on me. It does it when I run it from the site, and it freezes if I save it and run it from my computer.

Hm, the translation seems a little awkward, especially the voice overs, though I've only heard the tutorial, so I guess I can't really say much. Also, I can't find out how to join the clan. Also also, the customization options seemed really limited. All of that aside, though, it looks alright. I'm still figuring out the basics, but combat seems pretty fluid. Is the entire game PvP, or is there a PvE element as well? I haven't played anything besides the tutorial, but from what I've seen, it looks like it's mostly PvP.

It's an arena shooter.

Yeah, the translation is pretty bad.  But that doesn't really matter.

If you are talking about avatar customization, you get more faces, hair, etc. as you play the game.

There's an Arcade mode where it's you and up to 3 other friends vs. AI enemies.  It's decently length and difficult too.  But the PvP multiplayer is where it's at.

@Ryex: yeah, it's my kind of game, what can I say?  We both still suck though, we're still in the level 1-9 league XD

EDIT: I just figured out the the starter weapons (the machine guns and the sword) do like half the damage of the actual weapons.  Now I can deal damage so much faster XD

I was a pro rank but was banned but now I steal a friend's account and play.

Meh, I like using both swords and guns.  Swords only is pretty much a lot of jumping around until somebody gets one hit, and then the other person dies. 

Until the last update, I was using SMG-Smash-Plasma-SkillSP, but now I switched out the twin blades for the plasma sword.  They are far better defensively, and that is the primary purpose of my sword weapon.

twin blade, smg, and the revolver, here I'm getting much better. dodging is a very key skill

OK, so I started playing in BR and captain matches. let me tell you they really improve your skill.  I got the highest score in the Capitan match with 72.

Meh, they help your teamwork, but not really your aiming or your movement.  I've been trying to get the hang of ribonning the SMG, but no luck yet.
