Title: Weapon Levels
Post by: cryochill on January 31, 2011, 08:54:11 pm
Yo, I'm building a game with some friends that basically is about a TTRPG we play.  The GM is writing it, and he has a ton of gameplay mechanics for me to work with.  One of the biggest ones I've had trouble trying to setup is this.

Our GM's character, and my character both have an unusual weapon system.  He is an Elemencium Knight and I'm a Meister.  Because of the way our classes work we can't have standard equipment.  His weapon is his elemencium which is built into his body.  Mine is an pair of guns which are living people (It's a class from Soul Eater if that makes absolutely no sense).

As such he had the idea to have our weapons level up along with us.  Lock the equipment, and all that.  This is great, and all.  However, I can't find a script that allows me to do that.  I've been google'ing for a couple of weeks now and figure I better make the request.

Anyone know where this script is, or can help me make it?

EDIT: Oh yeah.  A script that ups the actual ATK stat of the actor on level up would be fine too.  I could just set their weapons to have no real attack stat and just have the actor gain power.

After hours of searching, I had the idea to check here (http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=rmxp+weapon+levels).

I already checked there, but thanks for the tip.

Not everyone is as retarded as you think they are, bro.
WELL F*CK ME.  There's a script that does what I want on the front page.  How did I miss that?  Oh... RMXP Unlimited.  No wonder I missed it.

Anyone wanna throw out a tip on how to get it to work for only those two actors?

I refuse to learn Ruby (terrible programming languages, lol), but just knowing bits and pieces of it will be fine with me.  Not like I don't already know a tiny bit.  Here's the one that actually does what I want.

Nevermind I'm retarded.  Thanks for being a smartass, Zer0.  It actually kind of helped.
