just wanna know...i will choose mangas but americans prefer their own comics eventhough i feel that it is much lamer than mangas. well, the choice is yours. manga or american comics. please type your reason of picking anything if u have a reason

nah. it's really boring. i can read it online anytime i want but american comics are lame.(no offense 2 fans)

try out DBZ but start from the 20th volume.

You're implying that no Americans read Manga.

And a lot of Mangas are plain stupid, just lemme tell you that.

I don't know much about manga, but I can say that at least two thirds of animes are plain stupid. :/

the battle in american comics are mostly one-sided, predictable and lasts only a few pages or so.Manga battles r intense, u dunno what's coming and lasts over 100 pages(main battles) or even 2 volumes(1 volume=200pages).

megaman. Why do you try to pass your opinion off as fact? I know what you're saying, but 100 pages is too much, let alone 400 pages.

I am a fan of anime, yes, but not on paper. On the television screen, or monitor, yes. Honestly, as you can already tell by the responses you got here by me, and others, nobody really cares; they either do not care enough about the subject to be serious, completely disagree with you, or just find it all plain stupid.

Let me tell you one thing.
Battle scenes. Are. Not. The. Most. Important. Thing.
And there is where my problem with action-based mangas is, especially the later Dragon Ball ones. Hey, let's drop all character devolopment and put in some extra screaming! What do we need a story for when we can have their hair grow even longer and more yellow? I have an idea: Let's kill the character multiple times and revive him! That way we can have multiple death scenes, since we don't have any other way of provoking emotional reactions!
I'm getting tired of this. I'd much rather have a character like batman, who does have weaknesses, eventually gets hurt and whose fights are not FUCKING 400 PAGES LONG, or a manga like deathnote with no real fighting scenes at all.
You know, you don't need fighting scenes to make something exciting. How about character devolopment and story?
But you know what's better than amarican comics and mangas? Books. Go read some, maybe that will help with your limited mental capacities and also improve your grammar.

Manga battles are intense only for the reason to continuously the provoke emotions of the reader. At least American comics are not doing "OMG FLASHY FLASHY SUPER DUPER ATTACK" bullshit and have depth.

Megaman, you are provoking people by trying to pass off your opinion as fact and thus you are provoking flaming. Of course, everybody is entitled to their opinion, but your opinion is NOT a fact. If you don't like American comics, fine. You can like whatever you want. You can discuss the differences to see other people's opinions. That's completely fine. But you have actually posted a topic for flaming. You didn't say "I don't like that kind of comic because of this and that" but you said "They are lame". If that was true, nobody would read them.

If you continue this kind of behavior, you are facing permanent ban.
