And there is no Y-Offset anymore. As I said numerous times already, the sprite system has been changed and improved.

Then how do I stop my sprite from jumping 3 or 4 squares up the screen when attacking while facing down?

I have an item named Handgun Bullets.

How do I get the weapon named 'Handgun' to consume the bullets?

Also, I can't remember how you edit the y-offsets so that you don't jump up when facing the bottom of the screen.

Script Requests / Re: RMVX Name Input Script

Yea just like that.

Like in a Final Fantasy game when you meet a new character, it brings up a screen that allows you to name the character.

Script Requests / RMVX Name Input Script
February 25, 2009, 03:26:07 pm
I know RMXP had one, but Idk about RMVX.

If there's a script that gives the player the ability to input the name of a character then I'd appreciate it if someone gave it to me.

Thanks.

So how do I make a certain part of the quest check to see if a certain objective was complete before it initiates the next part of the quest?

I.E.

1. Check Chair

2. Check Barrel (how would I set it to see if the first objective is complete before it initiates the condition for this one....)

Something like a script to put in the first conditional branch that checks to see if the previous objective was completed before it allows the player to continue.

Also, how would I make it show a full list of objectives at once that are checked off as you complete them?

6 years of experience do that to you.

Geez I need someone like you to teach me lol.  You can do two things that I'm desperate to learn, Scripting and techno.

In fact it sounds pretty good.

Blizzard - Snowstorm 2008
Blizzard - The Future 3000
Blizzard - The Future 3000 (Extended 2hard4U Mix)

OMFG!  Dude you're awesome.  I've been trying forever to make music like that.

Yeah, the Vocoder of FL Studio is incredibly powerful. You should hear how I altered my voice to a female voice in my songs. o.o

lol.  Thats gotta sound funny.

There is another way that I can think of, but you may have to work with it.

Download "FL Studio" and then use the voice input to make the robotic voice say what you want.  Then right click on the channel it creates and open the Piano Roll.  Move the bars that indicate the pitch or the note of the sound closer to the bottom until you get the dark sound you're looking for.  It may sound a little inhuman, but if you're not going to do the recording, then I don't know how else you're going to achieve the sound.

If I had a mic I could do some pretty dark sounds for you, but mine broke on me XD

Nice.  Thanks for recoloring the charset for me.  I can't wait for the battler ^^

As for changing the weapon, that's not really a big deal.  If you or anyone else doesn't want to change that then you don't have to.

Resource Requests / Sprite Editing
January 20, 2009, 03:52:45 pm
I'm working on a game that uses a CBS.  (3 Man side view)

I just need some really cool looking battle sprites and normal sprites.

I also need someone to edit the ninja sprite below so that he's a red ninja instead of a black one.

Also.  If possible I'd really like the sword he's using in the battle sprite to be changed to an average sword or katana.   That's just a plus tho, I'll be happy with just a red version of the ninja sprite if that's all you can accomplish.

Umm...How come the water isn't moving?

Blizz you're amazing dude.  Scripts are like super complicated and you understand them like they're a primary language.

@Vein:

Have you tried the same event system without Blizz-ABS?

I just tried that and the event worked fine on another project

Ok you know what blizz? I'm lost....cause that same project that i told you worked without blizz, well i first inserted the time environment script and it worked..

then after that, I inserted the ABS system into that project and the events worked....what is it about my original project that isn't working? it's really weird

I was just asking really, cause I remember you guys saying the anti lag will do something to the events.  I was just wandering if when my character leaves the screen is it like reseting them in some odd way or something.

i.e. tell me if i'm wrong here...

Event 001- Map 1 (Intro)

Page 1-
Teleport to Castle

Page 2- (Activated by Switch 1)

Event 001 - Map 2 (Castle)

Page 1-
Activate Switch 1
Teleport (Intro)

At this point page 2 should take affect, but it doesn't....page 1 repeats itself

Also, my switches aren't working right.

i.e.

Lets say i do a long convo and then a switch is supposed to activate after that convo that allows another event to be possible.

The other event even if i set it's conditions to that switch and set it to autorun, it still plays the event on it's prev page.

Idk what to do about that.

ok...here's another example.

Lets say that on a solid black screen there's supposed to be some text centered....after that text your teleported to another location (another map) where another event sets into motion and after that event a switch it triggered so that when you're sent back to the previous map, the same event that activated all that text...should now play it's second page.  But it doesn't and instead only plays it's first page.

Both events are all set to autorun.

also, what does \spc and \box do?

OK i have this event that's supposed to move two sprites left 13 squares, but before it activates I have an event that pans the teh screen 32 squares up.  Now after the 32 squares and the wait timer ends the two sprites is supposed to move left, but for some reason they won't move.  They just stand still like something ubber stupid.  But strangely if I set the player start position in front of the sprites, the MOVE! So idk if this has something to do with the ABS, but could you guys telll me what's wrong.  I've been playing with Rpg Maker since 2000 version and I'm good at switches and events, but something is def wrong here.

Np... I couldn't help but think of all the times I've been ignored after asking for help on a forum... (not here mind you, here is good)

Enjoy.

Then i think that this site is lucky to have someone like you here, you, aqua, and Blizzard, cause I agree...I've asked on other forums for certain things to use in past projects and they straight up ignored me.....I didn't really expect to get a response to this request seeing how i didn't know the community that well to know how you guys are..

But again, thank you.  The animations were very good too.  They fitted exactly and i didn't need to do anything with them to make them align.
