Hello, sorry I keep asking for scripts. I promise i'll learn how to do it myself one of these days.

Anyways, I have a bit of an odd request. I am looking for a script/CBS that's functionally similar to the default battle system in XP, just with you only able to select one party member to fight during your turn instead of all of them attacking sequentially during your turn. I also would prefer if the remaining members were able to do a support move during the turn like using an item or raising the parties defense during the next enemy move, but not doing damage. Also, maybe choosing an attacker could be skipped by pressing escape or backspace or something? So all the party members can use a support turn/dont attack. Put simply, I would like to have one party member be the attacking phase and the other three be the support phase.

Notable scripts i'm using are the Timed Hit Add-On by Zephren (very old and a bit clunky but it works), Blizz-ABS (ONLY FOR MOVEMENT ENHANCES, i gutted the battle stuff from it and am just using the default battle system) and some other various scripts that wouldnt be really important to keep in mind (like an anti-lag one that only affects the overworld)

Some images to help you get the idea for the flow of battles/ the idea behind it:

If this is too in-depth for a script request, I can try and find a dedicated scripter to help me with this on my project, but I figured i'd ask here! id be very appreciative : )

(ALSO: if you are willing to make it, i might need to do some direct message correspondence so we can iron out what the support phase actually does. im a bit unsure of what i should be adding there to make it worthwhile)

My game often uses puzzles where you press a switch and events turn into platforms by changing their sprite to part of the tileset, you'd then be able to walk on the events like they were part of the map. it works without Blizz-ABS, but once i added the scripts in, all of these platforms broke and are now impassible regardless of the tile's passability. Is there some sort of option for this in the config that i'm just not seeing/understanding or is this an inherent feature of Blizz-ABS? Can it be fixed or should i find another way to do activating platforms?

None of the other scripts i'm using have baring on the passability of events, i've tested removing certain ones and none of them change anything other than Blizz-ABS.
3
Oh. I didn't know they changed, lol. Sorry for all the confusion in this thread, i'm still new at this!
Thanks for helping me though!

Sorry about the vagueness, the problem i was having was the same as before, as if nothing had changed. The bar would show up, but not accept any inputs and the attack would fail. I figured out that the arrow key based attack does work, but the one that uses Z X and C does not, even when i recreated exactly how you said you had it in the original timed hit demo. If both attacks worked for you but not for me, then i'm truly unsure of what to do and will consider dropping the timed hits entirely if need be.

Thanks for your reply!
It did not appear to work. Is it possible that i'm using some settings with the ABS that is causing this fix to not work?
Here's the generated ABS script i'm using:

I fixed the other issue this post was talking about, but now i'm having a new issue. Because Blizz-ABS overwrites the input module, another script i'm using for battles does not work correctly. For reference, I am using Timed Hit Add-On by Zephren to add timed hit functionality to the default RMXP battle system. I'm only using Blizz-ABS to have movement improvements and I'm having trouble with removing all the other stuff it does, like for example, making it so that I can't use button inputs in battles.

So  a bit of an update to this, i have got something slightly working but it has all kinds of weird errors. So first of all, i'm using fukuyama's caterpillar script and Drago's pixel movement, and they ''work'' together, but the follower character moves like twice as fast, ignores collision, sometimes moves strangely, and generally does not behave normally. No idea what in the code is causing this, my only guess would be that Drago's pixel movement script is only four directional movement while the caterpillar script supports eight directions (diagonal)? I dunno. If video is needed for this issue i can record it and link it here so you can understand what i mean when i say the follower acts very strange in game.
It's also worth noting that Drago's pixel movement is causing issues with the loading zones in the game, repeatedly warping the player back and forth on the event tiles for some reason. This script might end up being unusable anyways.

I want to use pixel-based movement in my game, but if i use a simple pixel movement script it can't use the caterpillar script for party members. I know there are scripts that totally redefine everything that have both these features, but they ALSO make it so you have to use 8-directional spritesheets and make collision maps and stuff. I don't want all that, just a really simple pixel movement script that also applies to party followers/caterpillar support. Doesn't really matter to me if the pixel movement doesnt account for smaller objects, just want to make it easier to walk around. Is this possible/is there already a script like this that i was unable to find?

Basically, the kind of script i'm looking for might work like this:
Use standard 4-direction spritesheets
Allow pixel-based movement (Not using a collision map, just the tileset's impassibility)
Have a caterpillar system that also moves with pixel-based movement / Work with another caterpillar script

For reference, my game does not use any other scripts that affect movement or have any caterpillar script. It used to, but i removed them during testing and i have not put them back in.
