There's the problem, it looks like this script changes the price based on an amount of items. So it's probably adding that to the tax.

Version 2.0 is out.

This version will increase compatibility; allowing it to work with some custom shop systems.

I think we may have been misunderstanding each other, I was under the impression he was calling the idea of hiding the character's backstory bullshit; it should be hidden until the player should care about the character enough to sit through the cutscene.

But yeah, me and modern are finishing up the story first.

Just curious, do you actually have a game demo or something, I've never seen the idea of revealing background early used.

That would suck. There's only one character who has a sad past. Tyrius just has an interesting one, but nothing that can't be explained fully in a cutscene or two.

Books and Video Games are very different. Volrath, the writer of Master of the Wind, basically said something along these lines, "Why would I make the player sit through long cutscenes for a character they don't even care about?" Me and modern don't plan to release every detail before the story starts. Give the player something to look for. Put hints about the past in the game, but don't reveal it in the first hour or two. Frankly, I believe that idea of revealing everything early is one of the most incredibly stupid ideas I've heard.

Script forum has made me much more of an asshole I suppose. I think Zxmelee and I are the only people who get ticked off easily on RMRK. We all do enjoy a flame war though.

You guys apparently think I want help with this game. If someone can't even attempt to use capitalization and grammar, then I don't want them on my team. Not to mention, if they don't post examples, they're probably not experienced anyways. As the moderator of the most noob infested forum on RMRK, it's my duty to be an ass to noobs; so, I'm really not going to listen much to y'all, sorry 'bout that.

Tyrius is the typical blunt and crass character, he has a rather interesting past though, but that will be revealed in the game.

25 Maps during the school year, that seems a bit too much to me. I also think the default database may put off some people who would join, I've considered joining some of Arrow's game of the week contests, but with a sideproject based on one of my game's characters; I'd want to keep their skills and whatnot, and I wouldn't want to worry about the storyline.

Other than that, this sounds fun; hope it turns out well :)

May as well say that the battle system idea is fully implemented. I'd like some feedback on it; if people think I should scrap it, I'd like to know before we proceed further XD

While it adds the variable to the actor class, the luck only factors in battle. So it really would go in neither.

Yeah, you can do that, the problem is the window; custom shops won't display the tax %.

Holy shit. 2.0 may be coming soon XD

The shop system would still need to be edited for the tax % to appear though.
