Sun light and tutorial

Hi guys, so I have seen some games look fantastic with a sun beam style effect I think using fog? Can anyone post a fog and a quick setup tutorial to make maps look awesome?

a fog i just made real quick for this, it's not the best but all the ones i googled seemed to be dead links so hope this will work for now, and no tutorial needed just set it as is and it should be fine.
