Hello, everybody.

My name is Robin van der Star, and I represent "Serious Intelligent Media Productions", or SIM for short.

Allow me to tell you a little about SIM Productions before I get to the project.
We are a small, quality-oriented business that provides non-profit media, like movies, games, music and various website-designs and templates, consistent of eight talented individuals who are working hard on our new project.
These four are 3 writers, one designer, one character-artist, one spriter, one scripter and a mapper.

We are currently working on a large-scaled (though non-profit) Role Playing Game(similiar to Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc.) that mainly focusses on it's story and contains a very serious tone made with the RPGMaker XP engine.
We want to bring something new, different and fresh to the table, by bringing the quality of a RPG together with new concepts to the players.
We are scouting all over the internet for composers, graphical designers, scripters, game programmers and mappers to join our team for this project.

This game, "Nature: The First Chapter", can be compared to a popular Japanese gaming-genre, called "Visual Novel".

Without further redo, here is the information about our project:

Nature: The First Chapter

The story
Spoiler: ShowHide
The world has always known a deity. A God that reigns, casts miracles uppon the Earth to help the human race. A long, long time ago, the peaceful Mother Nature was the primary Godess of the earth. With her infinite power and wonders she reigned over the Earth. But a secret brotherhood knew that the world would be better off with "Lord Res", a mightier God than Mother Nature, they believed.
They locked the Godess Mother Nature up in a yet not born girl, which would be born when all the members of the secret Brotherhood would be dead or deceased. They knew that when Mother Nature would be released from her "cage", she would crush the brotherhood. Several thousands of years later, after all the "Elder Ones" were dead or deceased, a girl was born. Essence.

Seventeen-year-old Essence lives in a village that's far from the rest of the soceity. Her mother is seriously ill. Even with a large daily dose of medication she can barely survive. Essence is plagued with vague visions. In these visions she sees Councils about Gods and a young girl. After she hears voices in her head in broad daylight, she knows that something is wrong.
She finds out that her body contains two souls. The second soul contains Mother Nature, who will do anything to break out. Mother Nature wants to take revenge on humanity which once failed her. Essence has to destroy this God, whatever it takes. While she travels across the world she meets an assassin on behalf of "The Brotherhood", a cult that chases Essence all over the world to free Mother Nature inside Essence, and friends who help her to achieve her goal.
But Essence knows that her life might not be spared if she accomplishes her task.

Latest Update:
QuoteA Tribute to Pokémon

Some of y'all may know it, but I'm almost obsessed with "Lavender Town" from the Pokémon Red and Blue series.
A town with an eerie feeling, and music that just sounds like death creeping arround on toes.

So I decided (sort of) to make a tribute to Lavender Town in Nature, with realistic things.
I don't want to spoil too much, but I can already tell you some things about the new town in development.

Wisteria Town
Lavender Town is based off a purple-like color. At first I thought "let's call the town in Nature Lavender Town", but Samuel - the story writer - thought off another purple-like color: Wisteria.

So Wisteria, it is.
As for the music, our composer Surprenant, is working on an eerie song, based off the Lavender Town music.
For now, the RPGMakerXP Main RTP's  "040-Dungeon06" fits quite well.

Here is a screenshot.

I even made the Screen Tone a little bit darker after I made this screenshot, to take the "eerie feeling" to a higher level.

The Story
As all of our Towns in Nature, it has a specific story.
As for Wisteria, we kind of want to keep it secret, because I think this is the best city of them all.
We can only say that the paranormal lurks around in this town!

The rest
Everything, aside from Wisteria... We're working on it.
I won't say that we're close, because we're not.

I can only say that we made some progression with the story, with the sprites and with the character-development.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions for the Wisteria or the rest of Nature!
You, our fans, keep us alive!
