Decryption Test

As promised, I am uploading a sort sample of a "protection" method for RMXP games.
I am basically trying to get a feel for  how easy/hard it is for people to crack.  Some of you will know immediately how I did it, but I ask you not to go shouting it out just yet, since that is part of the protection.  Even with that knowledge, still see if you can find a way to unlock the files.

If you do manage to unlock the files, once again do not post your method at first, give others a chance to try.  Simply post the name of the method I added to Scene_Map, the name of the audio file played, and the name of the graphic file used in the demo.  That will be more than enough proof that you were successful.

Okay, without further adieu, here's the link:  DecryptMe!

If you are on a 64 bit system, you may get an error when attempting to start the game.  Just try enough times, and it WILL start.  I used the same method here as my one to make the portable versions of RMXP and RMVX, so the same problems persist.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

It worked so well it crashed trying to load it! XD As in just 'stopped working' and closes.

Obviously, its not a perfected method as of yet.

I'm really not trying to be rude. I just don't know how to explain it any better.

as in he knows it crashes but it will work if you try enough times and it would be a waste of time for him to fix any errors if it can still be decrypted

Sorry, I will no longer be scripting for RMXP. I may or may not give support for my scripts. I don't have the will to script in RGSS anymore.

I no longer keep up with posts in the forum very well. If you have a question or comment, about my work, or in general I welcome PM's. if you make a post in one of my threads and I don't reply with in a day or two feel free to PM me and point it out to me.<br /><br />DropBox, the best free file syncing service there is.<br />

You compiled it with Visual Studio. I'll check the rest out a bit later (kinda busy these days).
EDIT: BTW, it runs just fine for me on Win7 64 bit. o.o;

Cremno got it.

Didn't compile with VS, though.  As you can see, its not really an "encryption", just a way to package the files together.  Its quite easy if you know what you are looking for, actually.

Yeah, I've sent you a PM with something else that I noticed in the file. I'll investigate a bit further another time. xD

rofl. I still can't make it run. Ah well, just bad luck. All I get is that same error and I even tried over the time of a movie (the matrix).

ForeverZer0

It is extremely temperamental for some reason.  Some people will experience little to no problems for many startups, while others (in your case for instance) experience that exact opposite.
