Audio Compressor?

I need a little help... i need to find a program that can make my OGG files smaller since WaveLab makes them into a huge file format(i cannot change the quality settings of the rendering).

I searched google for such a program... but with no luck :/

So do anyone know a good program that can decrease the filesize of my OGG files? (Will probably make the quality crappier,  but i don't want audio files with a filesize of 10MB per song in my game :P)

Audacity is a free audio editor that can do what you need.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

My sound files that were once 5MB has been reduced to 700kb xD

Barely ever does.... I don't know how Audacity works, but if it works like any DAW in existance the file is converted twice, in different sample rates and word sizes. Which means a loss of quality, always. So don't overdo it please.

WinFF, uses the FFMpeg library to convert any format FFMpeg can read to any other format it can write. you have to open the audio option and know a bit about what your doing to set the target bit rate but it will get you the best quality conversion possible. also unlike Audacity is does batch conversion.

also if you have a multi-core processor be sure to open the option panel and select multi-threaded and use the number of threads that you have cores

Actualy, i finaly found a way to make the filesize of the OGG files smaller with WaveLab :^_^': . It turns out i was checking the wrong option in the "save as" section. I had to open up a lot of windows :roll:

So WaveLab compresses the files very well for me now without any loss of quality(at least every song so far)

Well there is always a loss of quality in compression. But at least like this it should be less.

Xilisoft Audio Converter Pro is pretty nice.

Yes, and ogg isn't one of them. It's very similar to the mp3 compression.

To throw something else in about this program, it converted an 11 mb mp3 file to a 2.2 mb OGG. It has some quality loss.
