Okay, so I originally got my hands on RPGMXP back in 08 or 09, but I never did anything with it other than waste lots of time. Well, I found my copy of it and decided to reinstall it and see if I can do something real this time.
So, for my first attempt, I've downloaded the BlizzABS, which looks awesome. I'm still fiddling around with it and so far, I haven't gotten it working in a new project, but I haven't tried everything, so I'm not asking questions just yet on how to make it work.
Anyway, this community actually still seems to be active, unlike the other RPG maker forums I've found, so I've decided to muck about here for a while and see if I can actually get this thing made. Will need a little bit of help, though. I'll ask as I find out what specifically I need.
Oh, the project I'm currently working on is titled "Sander's Dale" in case anybody's curious. The plot is nothing too spectacular - a man with a trouble past finds himself returning to the place where it all started and, not long after his arrival, things start going terribly wrong and he has to find some way to stop it if he can. The biggest challenge of this experiment will be to see if I can make an effective horror game in this program.
