I don't care which RPG Maker it's for, as long as it's RMXP or up.

And I have to ask, too:
Is there anything similar to Pokémon Black and White 2 in features?
Or would it be modeled after older Pokémon games?

Really, all I mostly care about is animated Pokémon in battles*, so if there's an up-to-date engine that at least does that, I'll be happy with it.
* I'd prefer it to be how Black and White do it. Example:
Front in battle:

Back in battle:

You know, like that? For the idle animations, and what have you?
Basically, I'd take the Black and White 2 sprites I found, and use them as the idle animations and shit like that.
Do current Pokémon engines for RPG Maker allow this?

Eh, I went off in a tangent there. Sorry.
Anyways, though, can someone point me to something good?
Also, I'm not after the online Pokémon engine thing, since I'm making a single player game.

Unless... it can be used offline? If it can't be, no biggie.

Here's that. Pokemon essentials already supports animated sprites using gif files. I'm not sure what kind of formats are in the pack below but give it a shot, the description says it's for Pokemon Esentials.

Here's a deviant page to animated sprites.

There's a mega download near the bottom of the description. I'm not sure what this all has in it but I'm pretty sure it has all the pokemon sprites.

EDIT: Just finished downloading the sprite pack, the sprites are indeed animated.

EDIT 2:

As to answer some of your questions too, Pokemon Essentials has features from just about every Pokemon game (including X and Y, they've implemented Mega Evolutions). There's even a triple triad minigame (based from FF8) and it comes with an editor for most things. A great debug menu. Though if you're hoping for that Mode07 look, I don't think they have that implemented, so it's all 2D.

Thanks, bro. I can always count on you. <3

This is amazing!
I already ripped the animated sprites here, but it's a jumbled mess of file names and not at all organized. I'm going to assume the link you gave me will be much better for the sprites. :D

And as for Mode 7, not really looking for it, so no biggie.
I may just try out a few Mode 7 scripts to see if they work, but I still don't think I'd use it even if it did.

Thanks again! :3
