Quote from: L3X... I can't believe they would do such a thing, masters! I am on your side, of course. How many are there of us? I will do my best to support your group!

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I should spy on these guys as much as I can. They are pretty much going to be our only enemies if the humans ally with the rest of the Scord. It's good to know your enemy...
But why would the rest of the Scord suddenly want an alliance with humans? What is the reason for this sudden change of mind? Maybe there is a greater reason behind all of this... Why else would the Scord from resource gathering over decades suddenly change their plans to allying with us?

Quote from: L3XWhy did the rest actually suddenly decide to want to ally with humans? It makes no sense!

That's what THEY'RE saying. Who cares if the humans have resilience and have defied us so far? We're winning! We should just destroy them now, get it over with. their planet is virtually destroyed anyway.

Blizzard

Without knowing how many there are, L3X decides to go on.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I'll ask somebody else...

L3X realizes that this is some kind of outpost for the Scord rebels. He looks around trying to find some kind of leader. And he's able to find one.

Quote from: L3XMaster, may I speak to you? I have an idea. We should regroup and attack a human camp I have spotted not far from here. How many soldiers do we have here? I need a status report to calculate our chances in case they ambush us and in case we decide to execute a preemptive strike. They are not yet aware of our presence, but that will change in the next few hours. We must act quickly. So... What is our status?

This Scord leader seems apparently marginally more intelligent than the others, as he seems to consider something odd about L3X's actions. In the end, though, he looks at one of the scord L3X spoke to before, who nodded, and figured L3X to be safe.

Quote from: Scord Leaderwe brought about three hundred with us. 75 of them are trained scouts, 85 warriors, 50 medics... some technicians... I don't know the other numbers. How large is this camp? And how long have you been under control? have our technicians made some new kind of control device for you guys? hmm... I'll have a talk with them later...

after this the Scord Leader began to walk away, but murmured something. L3X, being an android, was likely the only one to hear it.

Quote from: Scord LeaderBy the way, my name is Feralax. Not a typical Scord name, but that's it.

Blizzard

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I have all the information I need now. 300 isn't much, but I can't take them on by myself. Well, at least it would be a problem if I take them on all at once. Now I need to find out why the other Scord want to ally with us... I should get away from here before they realize I'm not under their control.

L3X turns around and walks away slowly. Soon he's out of the camp. While he approaches his Air Drifter a few thoughts cross his mind.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)Where do I get the support I need to take these Scord out? Actually, why would I even have to take them out? Maybe I can even convince them to stop their small rebellion. Anyway, I need to talk to Tikoja... He was on the Scord ship, he might know something after all...

L3X flies back to the location where he left Tikoja with BioE. (Are they still there? Probably not. :P)

in fact they are not. not even tikoja himself is quite sure what happened, but he found himself in a new location. BioE as staring directly at him.

Quote from: BioEhello human.

for some reason, he could make out BioE perfectly, but could not see anything else.

L3X arrived, and used some scanners to try to find where Tikoja went... but its as if the two suddenly vanished.

Blizzard

L3X decides to contact Kyle... He needs to know about the roughly 300 Scord.

Quote from: L3XKyle, come in. L3X here, come in.

L3X took a moment to think about what to say, and heard background noises. something big and heavy was moving.

Blizzard

Quote from: L3X (thinking)What was that?!

Quote from: L3X (quiet)Listen, Kyle. It looks like the Scord suddenly want to ally with us. I thought you should know. There's a separatist group of around 300 Scord that think different though. Expect them to cause trouble if you don't take them out quickly. Pinpoint my location. They are about 40 kilometers east from here. I have to go now. Something is coming... I'll contact you later to see how you are doing.

With that "thing" coming closer, L3X moves the Air Drifter to a safer location.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I have the feeling that I will have the fight again and this fight will be devastating... Hopefully the Air Drifter stays in one piece.

L3X gets out in the field and anticipates the incoming... something.

L3X was surprised when he saw something apparently made of the same metal as that being L3X saw before the BioE had arrived. It was in the form of a large tripod - apparently it saw a video of some ancient movie with a terrible actor that was based off a book that was popular even though it was terrible.

L3X's mechanical ears began to ring and he nearly collapsed from the resultant pain. As L3X stood up, the Tripod changed into a human-shape. AS L3X zoomed he in, he could tell it had angel-like wings now. other than that it looked effectively the same as last time L3X had seen it.

L3X knw he was still no match for the creature, but he knew it was challenging him, for some reason. it just stayed there, floating in midair, waiting.

Blizzard

(This is gonna be epic again. >:3)
Quote from: L3X (thinking)I see... It seems to be challenging me... Alright.

L3X activates his new SP-Mode. Now being able to fly as well, he flies up to the same height as the creature. He activates his giant Dual Ether Blades.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I guess it wants me to attack it first... I should probably hold a bit back so I have still something as surprise.

And L3X is really using just 50% of his power. He rallies for an attack. Suddenly he boosts up and rushes towards the creature cutting the air like a mesmerizing blade.

the thing moved it's arm up, and the attack deflected off to the ground. A loud Scrooshing sound could be heard as it connected.

the thing shook it's head, and imitated the dual ether blade. it spun twice, and somehow, large shockwaves flew out at L3X.

whatever it is, it's tough.

Blizzard

L3X blocked the shockwave. It was powerful, but not powerful enough. It was spread out after all so it's possible that L3X got only part of it which he could block without major problems. L3X activates his Beam Cannon.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)Beams can't be deflected that easily. They can be blocked, but not deflected. Let's see how long he can block this here...

L3X fires a large beam not fueled with the power of the SP-Mode.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)Hm... I wonder if I can use some sort of impuls to power up instant attacks for just one moment to actually exceed 100% of my capability. That one moment could be enough to deal a heavy blow or boost up my speed just to counter an attack quickly enough and do some actual damage. I'll think about this later when start fighting for real... At least I should keep a low profile now so he thinks that I am actually weaker than I really am and much weaker than I might actually be... Let's see what weapon works best here.

Even though L3X is still checking out the situation properly, he has some kind of "feeling" that he will end up with rerouting all his power into his Ether Blades for close combat with ocassional firing an energy stream through his blades. But for now L3X uses his weapons to see how they work. He fires a constant beam towards the creature that cannot be deflected, only blocked. He s curious how much effort the creature needs to block such an attack and for how long it can keep up the same power level while blocking. In other words: How much energy does it need to spend to block the attack for a while.

(careful, he scanned you, remembeR?)

the thing extended it's hand out, and the laser seemed to hit an invisible barrier a few feet away from the hand. This went on for about twenty seconds before the creature of metal made a flicking motion and L3X's gun shortcircuited.

no matter how L3X would have liked to respond to this action, he did not have time, because the creature suddenly began rushing L3X, a laser gun deisgned similarly to L3X's own releasing a scatter-shot, as if it was firing a shotgun continuously.

Blizzard

Quote from: L3X (thinking)I guess there is no time for this then...

L3X activates one Ether Blade and detaches his left hand from his left arm with the right hand. Suddenly he rushes towards laserbeams. Immediately before the laserbeams should start hitting L3X, he starts rotating his right hand which creates a propellerlike effect with the Ether Blade of the left hand. The laserbeams are being deflected back at the creature while L3X gets closer and closer with high speed. L3X is still holding back, though. Regardless of the fact that the creature might have scanned him, he prefers not to let it accurately know what he is capable of.

As L3X draws closer...

Quote from: L3X (thinking)This thing will probably dodge a normal melee attack, if not even a melee attack with actually 100% of my power. There is probably no point in attacking it if it knows exactly what it has to expect. So let's surprise it...

Following his original idea to hold back and to release an overpowered burst of energy to be able to perform dangerous attacks that work only for one short moment, he's flying towards the creature at high speed. The creature stops shooting. (Little environmental control FTW. xD) It obviously expects L3X to execute a melee attack. While in flight, L3X attaches his left hand back onto his left arm and prepares for a single powerful slash with his right Ether Blade. He moves his right hand towards his shoulder to prepare the slash. But...

Immediately a few meters before the creature something odd happens. The very moment L3X starts moving his arm to perform the slash from upper left to down right, he seems to fade away. The creature can still see L3X moving towards it and moving his arm, but it's as if L3X is dematerializing during his move. He slashes right through the creature. Nothing happens at that moment as if there was no slash. L3X moves further. He actually moves through the creature! He ends up being behind the creature.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)Eat this, bitch...

L3X actually continues his slash move while he seems to be materialized again! He's turning around, continuing his slash move, now moving the blade from down left to up right!

What happened here? It's simple. L3X overpowered himself for one attack so quickly that it destabilized his atoms, allowing to move through the creature like electromagnetic radiation. Due to the high moving speed, he was able to keep this state up for less than a nanosecond, just enough time to move through the creature. So for one moment L3X was pure energy and no matter. When he was behind the creature, his matter stabilized again, he lost his velocity almost instantly and continued his slash move which ended up looking like a circular 360° slash.

(Man... This is sick. #_#)

It was a good move L3X used. the creatre didn't move. It stood floating there. sddenly L3X felt a sharp pain in his left hand.

the creature turned to stare at L3X. It's 'wing' refolded back to it's previous position. a little fizzing sound was heard. the air sounded angry.

the creature walked in mid-air and swiped it's hand, smmoning little energy balls in the are his hand was in. it walked through them. he did this three more times. Then it created it's own Ether blade, mimicking L3X.

the tiny balls exploded, releasing waves of energy heading straight for L3X. he could not see what happened to his opponent, but suddenly none of L3X's sensors could pick up it's signal.

Blizzard

L3X suddenly didn't mind losing his opponent out of sight. Something happened while he was dematerialized and "flowing" though the creature... L3X deactivates SP-Mode and then reactivates it with 100% with a heavy energy burst.

Quote from: L3X (thinking)Amazing...

L3X SP-Mode now needs much less energy. It seems as if L3X has gotten something of the creatures power. But it's not power as in strength. It's more like electrical power. And it's become a part of L3X reducing his electrical power consumption.
L3X maximizes his power output an the energy is floating around him creating some sort of shield. The exploding energy balls crush into L3X and leave quite a bit of smoke. After the smoke was gone L3X seemed to be unharmed. The energy shield was still there.

And it... shattered. L3X's mechanical brain began going haywire. suddenly, as with the increase in his efficiency of electricity consumption, he seemed to be able to repel mental-assaults better, too.

Could there be a reason the thi-

L3X's chest recieved a powerful blow as the creature he was fighting reappeared in front of him, punch already thrown and contact already made.

Blizzard

L3X was flying away from the creature, still surprised from the quick attack. Rather than stopping in mid air and attacking he reroutes his flying root, turns around in a wide circle to save as much speed as possible. Then he starts flying towards the creature again. It also seems that L3X now can route energy through his body much better. He activates his Ether Blades and concentrates all powers into the very peaks of those energy blades. He pinpoints the blades towards the creature and starts spinning like a drill. L3X has turned his body into a drilling projectile with massive impact power. How will the creature handle this?

it puts its hand up, much in the way that it did when blocking an earlier attack, and grabbed the ether blades, and stopping L3X's movement instantaneously. the resultant backlash sent a shockwave of air throughout the region: some trees, if they were there, would fall over.

the metallic lifeform grabbed L3X's arm, and began to reroute the electric impulses throughout L3X's systems somehow.

What could it be up to now?!
