Mp3 to Midi converter

Anyone know a good one? I'd prefere it to be free and not leave one of those damn watermarks extra audio in the file after it's done. So anyone know where I might find one?

How can you convert mp3 to midi? I think you have to do that manually, because they aren't anything like each other. I'd love to explain but I'm not an expert. If you want midi to mp3 converter, however, that's a different story and easier to find...

There are .mp3 to .mid converters out there, but they are less than impressive. They're usually primitive and probably can't even catch the melody. :/

I would assume it's way easier just making the .mid yourself, especially if you know how to work the song (Remix-wise, etc. etc.).

Something like this CANNOT be free, conversions are serious fiscal business. :X

Me neither, never get good results that's why I asked, I mostly found Midi to MP3. I want it because I have alot of MP3's and I wanted to mix one with FL Studio which only seem to import midi's, ty for the link I'll check it out

I tried doing this a long time ago and ran into two blocks.  The first one is that for good conversion, you need to know all the instruments used and what they will convert to in MIDI.  the second is worse: many of the effects used in mp3s come out as static high notes in MIDI.  So, there really isn't a good one.  If you had a project file of an mp3, you could easily export that as a MIDI but not the mp3 itself.

Yeah I got that when I had my headset volume to the max and I tried using that program SRK linked to

MP3 to Midi really doesn't sound like it's going to work out very weell for me I think I'll leave it for a while

I one went looking for this my self. the best I could find was the one above in Blizz's post. be warned it is NOT free. the trial version can only do the first 15 seconds and the quality you get will not be the best. they advertise that their program can get the right notes about 75% of the time but I'd say it is more like 55%. It skipped most of the notes when i tried it.
