I asked Blizzard about this and he said to search the forum, but I can't find anything on this.
I have to hold down buttons for them to work. Like, if I wanted to press the action key, I would have to hold the button down for a second, or press the key about 3 to 5 times for key to activate. Is that normal? :???:

sounds like lag... could try a anti lag script.. but without more info I can't help
like what version you are using, what other scripts, etc

I had this problem before. It happened when I was using my grandma's laptop once. It was wierd it worked on her other comptuer but not her laptop. I can't really help you there.

WhiteDemon15

I have a laptop and i'm using the Spanish version if that tells anything. And this also happens with the Chaos Project Beta.

Jackolas

ABS is a really great. but heavy system for your pc
is can be that the laptop is not power full enough to use it.

remember that RPG maker xp is not made for an ABS.
what blizzard has done is 1 of the things that the programmers of rmxp never thought possible on there engine (hence why its 1 of the best scripts)
in a normal desktop pc you probably would not have the problem you say you have

winkio

doubtful.  It probably has to do with some other script overwriting the Input.trigger? method.  Is Blizz-ABS the last script before main?

fugibo

No, if it's happening in CP, then it's Blizz's Input.trigger? rewrite. He's gonna have to fix that personally, since I don't think anyone else on this forum has enough knowledge of Windows API.

Blizzard

Since nobody else has that problem, it must be your keyboard. :/

it could be an operating system OS version or how the keyboard is recognized.  Just elaborating on what blizz said: its not just that they keys don't work, but the software and recognition could be problems as well.

Blizzard

Yes, that's what I meant. I doesn't have to be your keyboard as hardware that is causing the problems, it can be the software or the keyboard driver or some incompatibility between the plug 'n' play driver and the keyboard.

It's a new laptop, though.

Blizzard

As I said, nothing needs to be wrong with your laptop or your keyboard. It's probably Windows being a bitch with your laptop keyboard for some reason.
