Technically, you're supposed to be a comma after "huge" in that. Proper English and what-not. So technically, you're wrong.

Nope. "huge, metalic fan" would need a comma, but here "metal" is part of "metal fan" which acts as one entity. My two cents.

That would only be the case if the fan was saying he was a fan of metal. However, that wouldn't be ambiguous. The only other interpretation, which would be the fan saying he is huge and metallic, would require a comma to separate distinct adjectives.
