NAM + Windows 7 = <3

Ok so last night I jumped on the 7100 bandwagon and I must say I am impressed.

Computer starts and is ready to use in 20 seconds.
Didn't have to install a single driver, and all of my hardware works flawlessly.
Idles at 1% CPU and 1GB of ram (down from ~17% CPU and ~1.4% RAM with Vista)
My computer is running lightning fast.
The new taskbar is <3

Only problem so far was a small error with installing iTunes.  Tried to install iTunes+Quicktime with the iTunes package and it didn't work because Quicktime failed to install.  This was remedied by installing Quicktime 7 first, separately, then installing iTunes.

I can't really test any programming languages per-se, mostly because I don't know their tools and it'd take me a bit to get things setup because I'm slow like that

But I'll test Opera, Notepad++, and Trillian...well eventually Trillian, but I expect those 3 to all work.
What kind of testing were you looking for for Notepad++?

I'm looking for just roughly testing if it works for all of them. Install, run, mess around with it for a minute and that's that.
And I forgot what the underlines were supposed to mean. Didn't I mention anything in the other topic? xD
Of course you don't have to try them all.

Yippee! RMXP was kind of a pain, I tried to set the options right to launch it at first (XP Compat Mode, Admin Privs, etc) and it wouldn't work. I had to disable one of them to get it to work, *sigh*

But yeah, best OS they've ever produced. Still not as good as good ol' BeOS, but

the intel thing is likely due to the lack of power of said processors.

as far as the 'only being released with...' that's a fallacy.
it's only -free- for the upper versions, but you can buy it for home, so it is available...you just have to pay for it.  I.e. someone will pirate it.

This is the Release Candidate, not the commercial release. Ergo, it's free, but Vista users are getting a free upgrade anyway from what I understand.
