im having a dilemma on deciding on how to do stats and levels for my project
at the moment im using Blizz's custom stat growing script combined with RO job/skill script, and deciding on how to implement party members.

Stat and skills:
Spoiler: ShowHide
with the stat growing script the stat increases have a low growth rate(30% chance, may drop it to 20)
and in the RO job/skill script im just using the skill part cause this script definitely works with custom stat growing
giving you a use for exp.

so pretty much your stats will get random increases through out the game after battles
and with the job/skill script you can learn passive skills as well as your typical magic spells, etc.

Party members:
Spoiler: ShowHide
as for party members im wanting to either have the protagonist meet people through the story line,
or have it once you reach your first big city have a building where you can hire mercenaries of various classes so that way there is a wide variety of types to choose from so you make make a party that seems fun to you the player.(im personally leaning towards the mercenary way)

as for the protagonist you have the option to choose from  male or female
and is able to learn from a large selection of skills/spells
also is there a way to hide certain skills in the skill selction window in the battles and menus but still have them show up in the job/skill script? cause i am using some skills do absolutely nothing at all except for skill learning
Spoiler: ShowHide
say you wanna learn FIRE 1 but in order to do so you must first learn FIRE MAGIC(does nothing except allows you to learn fire magic, this is the type of skills id like hidden)
and to learn FIRE 2 youn eed to have FIRE MAGIC at level 3 and FIRE 1 at level 2

(if you want more detail just tell me :) )

The Niche

Ok, this all looks pretty interesting, even if it's a little hard to read *grammar nazi attack*

First off, you don't need a skill for the fire magic thing, what you need is a conditional branch, with a switch.
Second, I'd say go for the mercenary idea, with maybe two allies as well, how many will you have in your party?
Level me down, I'm trying to become the anti-blizz!

Ah, excellent.  You liked my amusing sideshow, yes?  I'm just a simple fool, my wit entertains the wise, and my wisdom fools the fools.

Spoofus

it will be a party of 4, i do have a person that follows the protagonist that is involved with the story
but doesnt participate in the battles

i was thinking of having the protagonist learn his/her skills via EQAUP but you will have to make the items through item creation or find them in dungeons etc.
