Hi everyone.  :haha:

I have been making a game that I want to put online that already has a Trading Server. I want to upgrade from just the trading server to a fully online game that includes the trading as well as. Will that be an issue with the RMX-OS at all?

it already has a trading server?... would you happen to be using the Pokemon starter kit to make your game?

Let me lengthen the post then... I'm making a Pokemon game with the Starter Kit that Ryexander mentioned, and I want to put it online. I don't think there would be any problems with this, except that it has a trading server to trade Pokemon with other players. If I have to remove the trading server to have it online, I am completely fine with that, but if there is a way around, it would definetly be preferred!!!

And also, PLEASE don't tell me it can't be done! (I am suprised that no one has done it...)  :'(

Well... It CAN be done, but it would require scripts that aren't available to you. As a matter of fact, it HAS been done. Jcsnider did exactly that. I'm not sure if it's still running, but here's the original topic:

As I understood things, Blizz had to create a special "bridging" script that allowed the two scripts to work successfully, and has given the right to use it exclusively to jcsnider.

As you may have guessed, the link didn't work. I guess I'm going to just keep trying, and hopefully I can find a way of making it work  :haha:

well I'll tell you is has been done and all you need is a special copy of RMX-OS. this copy is however the property of JC and his MMO Pokemon Neon. Neon however is officially dead if you want the script there is a chance he will give it to you.

Like you presumed, he said no, because the engine was highly unstable... What should I do now?   :???:

Well, why couldn't you just add the Pokemon "Essentials" to the OS?  :huh:

It's not that simple. Pokemon Essentials changes so many aspects of the default scripts that they are conceptually incompatible. That's why I made those special scripts for JC.
I don't remember it being unstable, though.

And Pokemon Neon sure didn't look unstable...

But, if I understand correctly, you gave the rights to him and him alone Blizzard?

it was more that RMX-OS itself was unstable under the loads we put it. in any case yes the rights belong to JC. or more precisely Blizz made it for JC and won't give it to any one else unless Jc gives the goahead
