In all honesty I just can't seem to get a good looking one through Gimp ): They all look crappy in the end. Soooo if anyone could perhaps help me in making one, that'd be awesome! My game is called DemonNoirr. I just want something somewhat creative and not bland like the way mine come out. :P

What system is it on (VX or XP) ...

To Do: add main character, main image
clean up the final product...
Fix the name from Demonnoir to DemonNoirr

Here's a list of things that may be good to add to your request for extra detail rather than "My game is called DemonNoirr and I want it somewhat creative and not bland." ...
- What kind of game is it.
- Who is the main character.
- What is the main theme.
- What style is the game.
- What you imagine the title to look like (colours, placement of title, background, etc)
If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program.
The rest of them will write Perl programs.

I like what you've done with it ^_^ but yeah I should have been a little more specific.
It's on XP.

For the main character, I don't really have any image to add.. which could be a problem. Hmmmm it's a dark/serious rpg that's still set in a modern time. I really don't know what else to add to that /:

All horizontal line breaks are edits...
The main character isn't really a problem, it's just that some title screens show off characters to allow the user to connect to the character before actually playing the game, just going to edit the title screen new one should be along shortly.

Modifications:
Fixed Title, added Background Buildings, added darkening layers, transparency changes.

Here's 4 different ones so far, give me some feedback and I'll edit it some more (Or you can actually go to a professional I literally only have about 1 hour's worth of work done on GIMP before this).

I like the Darker one (also that last one is really nice too :D.)

Also, just a question I want to get out of the way now. How do I go about using the title screen? I found a youtube video that kind of helps, and the guy says something about needing 6 different title screen edits or something.

Twb6543

The tutorial you watched was about a script that allowed you to use animated title screens (different title scene graphics for each option (e.g. option start would have a blue background, option quit red,etc))...

Here is two representations of how to change your title screen:

Wall of text:
Put the .png into your Game/Graphics/Titles folder or use the materialbase program (open up your project goto to tools=>materialbase or open up your project and press F10) import the .png into your Titles folder. Then (with your project opened) goto Tools=>Database (or press F11) and click on the tab called system then change the drop down box called Title Graphic to your desired TitleScreen.

Ohhhhh, didn't even think about that.

EDIT: The title screens are too small..

Twb6543

Ok That's it for today from me, I'll try and do a bit more to the title (play with a few effects) tomorrow... (edit will resize it tomorow as well (sorry it was based of VX originally and I haven't changed it...))

Okay :) thanks for all your help so far, I really appreciate it.

Ok her's four more Titlescreens to have a look at.
-Blood Redone (due to resize issue)
-Most layer's resized (Except from text to prevent pixelation)
-Different order of layers (text above or below darkening layer)

Just an effect I added to Blood Normal Text as I was bored, what one do you prefer out of the top four...

I'll add the effect to the one you like sometime this week or next week (don't know depending on spare time)

Blood normal for sure, and again thanks for your time. Could you try adding a border next time you have a chance? I want to see how that turns out.

Probably next week before I can add anything, If you do not like the Title screen or want something sooner try Aviary as they have excellent artists over there and also are very talented.

Sorry It's Taken a while to get back on to this, i'll try and do something tomorrow...

Here's a rubbish border I've added, I don't really know what style or how big you want it...
