Because this is an RPG Maker site, it isn't really allowed to post pirated copies of RPG Maker Programs...anything else is perfectly fine. I don't think anything bad will happen to game_guy, after all, these are portable versions of the game for on the fly making.

If someone posted a link for something like the Unreal Engine 3(not UDK, the real deal), you would allow it? I expect to lol at this answer.

This is the very reason I didn't release any pre-cracked versions. This seems to be a gray area for some reason, and I'm sure most people know how to use the keygen.

It makes no sense to support fucking with sales of other companies, but protecting RPG Maker like it is some sacred deity just because you put "RPG Maker" in the name of the site. I personally could care less, but I really don't see the exact "logic" in it either.  Most sites either prohibit piracy, or they don't, they really don't make distinctions between software in a "steal anything you want, just not this" type of way.

Either way, it doesn't matter, and the staff has the right to enforce any rule they want.  That is a logical response. "We've been here longer" is not. One plus one does not equal four because I'm older and said so.

When I saw this thread, I first thought that I had to lock it because of potential flaming. But after reading it, I'll leave it here.
I agree that this kind of behavior is hypocritical. Even though they have every right to make and enforce any rule they seem fit, piracy is piracy. You're either against it or you don't care. Posting any kind of pirated software is equally as illegal as posting an RMXP crack.
