mortal kombat sprite critique

hey guys, im making some mk sprites for a fan based rpg game, i will be making every character from mk 9 characters, ill keep a regular post on my progression on these, all completed work is free to use, of course with credit heres the first i have started on, only got the front view of scorpion so far, still a little detail needed here and there, coments are welcome i want to make them to the best of my ability

About the critique, the gray/black parts need shading and the eyes are too close to each other... Other than that, the other details look pretty good...

@ blizz, rofl i rotated the image accidental on the upload site, its sorted nw anyway its been replaced,
@shadow, thanks, i have added some shading now what do you think? iv also done the front for subzero, its in the first post
