Looking for a good headset, Logitech G930

I can get a pair for $84 they are normally $160

I've looked the reviews and there is a lot of them where the ear cups break off

is it worth it?


other wise is there a good wired gaming type headset for around the same price? newegg is having a sale 15% off headphones and the G930's are already on sale but I'm only willing to go up to $100 with the hope that they will last for a good 10 years. they don;t have to have good audio quality but a decent mic and good build quality is a must. I've had too many headsets break.

I have absolutely no experience with these things, but in my experience with other Logitech products, they have pretty good durability.

My logitech headset was thrown very hard and angrily to the floor (it wasn't the headset's fault, by the way) and still managed to frut out a few more months of working order and jostling and dropping until the headphones fell off. If the ear pieces fell off -anyway- the wiring had a decent extra length to work with, so it didn't snap. You could (and I would have) just duct tape the ear piece back on anyway. I didn't because I have a new headset courtesy of birthday shenanigans.

The only gaming headsets that I've used were Turtle Beaches. Though if it's built by Logitech, it's gotta be good. Here's the headset I use, it says it's for Xbox 360 but you can plug it into the PC and it works just fine.

wow, this one actually looks perfect, the 1 egg reviews were about not being able to turn of the mic echo on the PC is this true?

The only "echo" is this.

And trust me, without this feature, you wouldn't be able to hear yourself that well, the ear muffs cup over your ears perfectly, reducing the sound heard around you. You can hear what you're saying but it's not all that bad. The only way to turn this off is by muting the mic itself. If it bothers you too much, you can just move the mic further from your mouth.
