Unless they have completely rewritten the entire thing, Netplay simply can't be better. Netplay's original code is just garbage. It's so convoluted that it causes bugs and you have no idea where to look. From what I can see they only added new stuff that isn't even network related (such as a mouse input oriented interface or if this was already there, then fancy graphics) instead of fixing the shitty original code. Every other person can make some fancy graphics with just a little bit of Photoshop knowledge. I'm personally skeptical, because it still doesn't seem to make it easy to write plugins.

Thanks Blizzard, i thought as much, I know hes releasing a netplay 5 dunno if thats gonna be any different but RMXOS since I have used so far is very stable, I would just like a few things similar to Netplay in terms of the fancy stuff, I really like the guild system they have talking to an NPC and adding ur own banner etc, and also the the drop down menu to trade and party system is really cool, is there anyway you could implement these into RMX-OS? I downloaded this version

That's something that's probably going to have to be scripted as plugins. Blizzard has pretty much already implemented all the features RMX-OS will have. Not that I'm saying he won't, but I'm pretty sure he's not going to implement them or write them as separate plugins.

Ye understand, With RMX-OS im just having a few bugs or maybe im doing something wrong, PvP wont really work at all after enabling it, also on my desktop pc characters move around smoothly on the map and on my laptop the login playing on my desktop is jumping instead of walking smoothly, Also when i die or move from 1 map to another it leaves a sprite behind, Any idea whats going on or is this the current state? so far I haven't got any of these bugs with netplay but i so love Blizz abs and the comparability of rmxos

Blizzard

The only problems with RMX-OS are mainly with Blizz-ABS. I wasn't able to find out what caused those problems since I couldn't reproduce them on my PC. :/
I won't really script anything more since I retired from RMXP. I only updated RMX-OS recently, because I was doing some stuff for Pokemon Remexos.

Just in case anyone wanted the opinion of someone who tried it extensively:
V4 is still trash just like every other Netplay version to date, especially in comparison to RMX-OS. Unless you plan on never editing anything in the system ever, I do not recommend it for anyone. Even if you don't plan on editing any part of it, it's still not stable enough to use for anything except fooling around with friends who don't get frustrated easily.
After two weeks of frustration simply trying understand some of the errors it spits out, I have given up on Netplay once again.

Blizzard

While I don't enjoy hearing that other people are having a tough time, it's nice to hear that RMX-OS is still top-notch (even though it has a problem when Blizz-ABS is added in the mix).

Blizz, if you're up for it, we could do some tests. I'll have the next few days free anyways.

If any 1 would like to start trying to fix rmx-os abs errors it would be just the best engine for making a mmo, because of the errors so many people use other engines, please if anyone had the knowledge to fix it please do!

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE TO fix them. I just can't reproduce them in the first place. :/

EDIT: Actually, let's try some tests today, gameus if you have time. I should technically work on our new Daygames game, but I have an idea how I could track down the problem if I am able to reproduce the bug. I'll be on Skype in about 2 hours.

Love you guys :)

Known things I have found;

1. Player one fires projectile and player 2 can only see a projectile every so often

2. On death the player leaves a sprite behind on the map

3. PVP the dmg is only dealt 10% of the time and graphic isnt always shown

4. (tested on pc and laptop of good specs over LAN) desktop runs really smooth but the laptop player is laggy moving around unless I move the desktop player at the same time. both players move at speed on the laptop, the desktop is running the server.

Hope this somewhat helps guys!
