While Mur manages to kill three more Scord in almost one move, L3X decides to move in for a double kill.

Two Scord... Lasers... left... downhill... hehehe...

L3X tries out his new toy, the ice cannon. From the location where he is standing, he uses the ice beam to freeze a path toward the two Scord he located. The Scord start firing after their initial shock how easily L3X disposed of their first ally. Before the first laser shots hit L3X, he activates his Holo-N Shield and steps on the ice path. After a powerful boost with his left leg, he starts sliding towards the two with rapid speed.

One Scord on the right...

L3X positions the Holo-N Shield in such a manner that the laser shots get reflected towards the Scord he just located to his right.

So you guys wanna make it snow?! You guys like it COLD?!

The two Scord soon realize that their shots are not killing the one they should. Their ally got killed by the reflected shots and L3X is sliding with immense speed towards them. They start running, but it's too late. L3X keeps freezing himself a path to slide on and catches up. He uses his Ethereal Blade to cut one of them while passing by them. He jumps into the air, stops freezing a path, turns around in midair and directs the ice beam toward the other Scord, freezing his lower torso almost in an instant.

That COLD ENOUGH for you?!

While the Scord is shocked about what L3X did to him and keeps running, L3X fires a loaded shot from his plasma gun from midair which shatters the Scord's lower torse into thousand pieces and separates his upper torso from the rest of his body. L3X lands in the snow in a cool position.

I should be seeing a scord soon.. with this extreme temperature.. how can they stay so warm and still able to fight.. I mean... what do they do to keep their heat.. do living things produce heat at a rapid rate..? Or they huddle for a bit and walk off... only to come back and huddle some more...

Mur spots the remaining two scords, Mur runs towards them and fire his gun at them, both of them die but the last scord saw Mur and runs towards him, Mur lift out his sword and the scord run towards the blade and stab itself.

While Mur kills his last two Scords, L3X goes for his remaining two.

They are both close one to each other...

L3X starts running towards the Scord and jumps high in the air. Soon he can spot one of the Scord shooting at him while the other is waiting with a sword for him to land to cut him into metal junk. L3X fires the plasma cannon to counter the laser shots which create small explosion like reactions upon impact. L3X lands on the laser firing Scord, knocking him back. The other Scord, several meters away starts running toward L3X. L3X freezes the knocked back Scord, grabs the ice block with his metallic clawlike hands and flings the frozen Scord towards the one running towards him.

You wanna stop? I don't think so.

L3X fires his ice cannon in front of the running Scord who starts sliding and unable to stop directly slides into the ice block fyling toward him.

Better safe than sorry.

L3X fires his plasma cannon, destroying the iceblock, rushed toward the injured Scord laying there and stabs him with his blade. At the same moment Mur kills his last share of the enemy.

Mur, just follow this location I am sending you. I will appear as figure red on your visual scanner.

Mur manages to get to L3X quickly through the storm.

Let's not get separated. I don't think that this storm will get worse, but it's already pretty nasty so let's be careful.

L3X and Mur go towards the vehicle in which the Scord attacked.

Let's see what we have here...

L3X and Mur enter the vehicle.

the vehicle is empty, save for one Scord, which was easily disposed of, then L3X and Mur gathered as much as they could.

they got some info off a databank, but it was in Scordian so they'd have to get a dechiperer. later.

just as Mur pulled some numbers that could be coordinates located within the cold spot, an alarm sounded, and while they couldn't understand it, it was quite obvious it was a self destruct.

the two managed to get out and away from the craft before it went up in a large ripple of flame.

Let's keep is straight and simple: Let's follow the coordinates.

Without Mur having any objections they are on their way to the given coordinates. Soon they reach their destination...

they didn't see anything, and they were confused. the coordinates led to this Exact spot.

it was a bit colder there than the rest of the cold spot, and the storm was a bit stronger, but that was it.

searching for a clue, L3X cleared snow, and felt a hollowness underneath what felt like a fake patch of grass.

so whatever was there was underground.

A loud crackle signified that the Sound Synthesizer was indeed online.

I see that it still has the same issue.

Affirmative. Previous attempt to correct said flaw failed. All warm-up routines complete. Initializing Visual Subroutines...

Wow... a Blizzard? In Croatia?

Croatia's Weather Patterns are still irregular due to the warfare. This entire region is now in a permanent ar- Alert! Seismic activity detected!

Edward instantly crouched into a defensive position.

Seismic activity under 2 Seismos. Incoming sound waves... This suggests an explosion.

Sure enough, a loud explosion was definitely heard less than a second later. Edward got up, but remained tense.

Well, Edward? Let's go check it out.

Roger. Engaging all combat systems. Sound source was approximately 4 miles west.

And Edward ran off west, in search of the source of the strange explosion.

L3X:

My sensors are picking up electromagnetic radiation under the surface. That means that there seem to electronic devices under us. I'll try a ground scan on the area.

L3X tries to determine what's under the snow. Ironically having a new ice cannon was of no help. The snow wasn't a big problem in determining the location of the entrance to the underground area, but L3X used his plasma gun anyway to melt down some patches of snow at strategic locations to decrease the interference with his scanners.

Over there! There is some sort of shaft through which we can enter.

L3X and Mur move to the location where the hatch to the shaft is and L3X "unlocks" it carefully using his Ethereal Blade.

The electromagnetic interference is too high at this spot. I don't know what's waiting for us when we enter so stay ready. Once we're inside and move away around 10 or 20 meters, I should be able to get normal readings again. Let's hope we haven't triggered the alarm. I don't want half the Scord in this area in my neck. Yet.

L3X opens the hatch to the shaft. There is a ladder. L3X goes first, almost blind since it's dark and his sensors are jammed in the shaft. Without any incident they manage to get to the bottom.

Let's move away from this spot so I can scan this area... I hope there is nobody here, I can't see anything. But I have a bad feeling about this...

Scott:

Scott arrives at the location very soon only to find out that there is a battle going on. A group of humans is attacking a Scord unit after they blew up a facility assumingly by the Scord. One building seems still to be intact. What will he do? Will he engage into battle to help out one of the sides or will he keep watching what happens next?

Pokol:

But the Scord are not as dumb as they may seem. These are not ordinary Scord Assault Troopers, these a Jet Jaggers! Even before Pokol was able to land safely, they turned on their jet packs and went after him. Pokol didn't notice this at the first moment that the Scord followed him when he saw the little girl silently watching him land. Pokol turned his head up after hearing the jetpack sounds and realized that jumping off buildings wasn't gonna save him. No wonder, how did the Scord get up on the building in the first place? Jetpacks, of course. Whatever Pokol wanted to do with the girl, when he turned his head towards her again, he would notice that she's gone. As if she has never been there from the beginning on... On top of the Scord attackers, he noticed the earth shaking. Something seemed to have happened further to the south. The Scord are drawing closer, whatever he's going to do, he has to do it quickly.


Buthos:

What Buthos didn't know was that not far from his position a type of tank was landed. It was a Scord vehicle with big laser cannons. They were too far away to spot Buthos and Buthos was to far away to see them, but he could feel the earth shaking when they landed. When Buthos turned around, he noticed that the girl was gone. It was rather as if she was never there. Will Buthos try to find out what the Scord are planning or will he try to find the girl or will he decide to do something else?

L3X landed, and Mur followed soon after, and lights flickered on when L3X touched ground.

the slight, almost inaudible, yet sound-dulling whir of machines began as the faux-female voice sounded from unseen speakers.

the bzzt sounds were very loud and severely ringing, enough to nearly break the eardrums of a human.

the computers that begun to turn on abruptly shut off, but the lights remained on, and no alarm sounded.

Mur slowly move his hands towards the blade and wields it.

This system seems to be fairly damaged. Let's explore this place a bit. Maybe we can find some information after all. It doesn't seem to me that this installation is working too well, there may be loopholes in the security system. Just stay close by and stay ready. If I activate any weapon, we could get in trouble, but you are practically invisible. I'll keep you updated via WiLink about our surroundings.

L3X and Mur slowly move forward through the complex trying to find out what the computer meant by "books". The interior looks almost like a big archive. They keep moving until they decide to open one of the archive doors that seems to be broken.

Ok, help me pull this out. 1... 2... 3... Pull!

Damn it. this Book won't work! it has the info I need...

the Scord turned and looked at L3X and Mur, and faint surprise crossed by its face.

it took a moment to register that the Scord was speaking English.

oh, its been a long time since... well, I've never seen anyone here in the Library. I thought I'd activated the security systems once those... SYSTEM!

the Scord's voice had no accent, as dull as the computerized voice.

System, security measures? how did these two evade them?

System was checking the measures as Android L3X walked in.

up till this point, Surprise had kept L3X and Mur silent, but now...?

I have to admit, that was a vicious move. Just walking in, simply clever. I am truly a genius. Enough with the sarcasm. For some to me unknown reason I do not feel the urge to kill you, Scord. Care to explain what is going on here and who you are? I assume that you know my name already.

Mur moves out of L3X's cover and shows himself as well.

System calls me Scord Unnamed, Android L3X. System has been the only thing i've had any sort of conversation with it. a battle at my birth happened above, and I, newborn, was the only survivor. Android L3X, Mur, no other thing has entered here ever in my life. This is a Library, Android L3X, as I'm sure you know. this Book is broken, and its the most important one, according to the other Books. though why it is i do not know.

so this Scord never had contact with any living thing, and System was programmed in English. press for more info?

You said that this is a library? What kind of library? What knowledge is stored here? And what is supposed to be in this book which you say is the most important?

Maybe we can find valuable information about the scords and other mishaps that could aid us in future battles...

Android L3X, i have no idea whats in this Book - ITS NEVER OPENED - and Mur, I doubt that, I've lived long, and I've never found anything on the actual Scord... but, System does prohibit me from things. if you can find a way around System's defenses on them, you might be able to, but i doubt it.
