If its not too late, I'd like to revise my skills. I only have 4 in total, but they're more versatile. This way it fits the magic system that my character is from.
1. Drain - same as before. It'll drain people's mana. If they have no mana, it'll drain their health, and convert it to mana.
2. Impact Magic- AKA telekinesis. Move things from a distance. The more forces acting on the object (friction, gravety, other magic), and the heavier it is the more Magic (aka mana) it takes to move it. The further away the object is, and the faster I move it, the more magic it takes. An example of using Impact would be releasing tiny glass fragments, and shooting them at my enemy. They're small, so they don't take much energy to move. But enemies wearing armor would be unaffected by such an attack.
3. Focus - Can focus either raw magical energy, or any natural force around you. The further away the force is away, the more of said force I focus, and the further away the thing I'm focusing it ON is, the more magic it takes. Most often, this will be used to Focus gravety on things, focus heat to create fire, or to focus my own energy for an energy blast (think DBZ for that one)
4. Illusion - Illusion takes a ton of magic, so I can't use it much. To do this, I need to have a clear picture in my head of the illusion I want to create, then tap into the magic. So, making myself invisible requires me to picture myself fading away until I'm transparent, then tapping into the magic. Even if I have a lot of Magic, I can't maintain an Illusion very long (thus balancing it out). The only illusions I can create are visual.
The reason I want to do this is because the magic system in my books, the one that my character uses, is very rule based. There are other types of magic, but very few people know of them, and Aveyar doesn't know how either. I need practice applying the rules of my magic creatively. This system doesn't allow for uber and awesome looking spells, and is very balanced. So it won't give me an unfair advantage over the other players.
