Mandatory things then means eating and sleeping and other such things? I feel quite bad for you then

Fallen Angel X

Aye but I dont need your pity do I? Regardless, books aren't something I must absolutely have to read and I'd rather be occupied by something else in my time :P

Valcos

PORN!!! Yeah... books make you think? Like hard thinking... its like working out your brain. Id rather just play video games or watch tv. :^_^':

To each their own I suppose...

Fallen Angel X

I dont mind hard thinking but rather I just can't sit still and read a book anymore. I used to read books a lot but I stopped. If I think about it, I actually fluctuate from wanting to read books to not wanting to read books. I dont know how long it takes me to switch but I'm definetly not in a mood to read with all that twilight bonanza going on.

I think the last book I read was the first maximum ride book. I couldn't find the others.

Precisely ^_^

By book reading phase has stoppedsome time ago. Before that, I read like mad. You can say that about a 10th of what I know now was learned in those 2 years from intense book reading.

PS: This thread doesn't seem like it belongs in SPAM, don't you guys think?
Do you like ambient/electronic music? Then you should promote a talented artist! Help out here. (I'm serious. Just listen to his work at least!)

we established that. I even asked the mods to move it but nothin has happened yet.

Fallen Angel X

Books stirred up my imagination which I don't if it's a good thing or a bad thing since I'm a little screwy in the head O.o My period of reading books was like grade 8 and ended at the end of grade 8. After that I started reading again late grade 9 and stopped when I stopped going to the library >.<

I had a friend who took reading to an extreme... He read the school library dry D: He even read the bible in 2 days :^_^': He kinda stopped reading books when he entered high school though :???:

Diokatsu

The Bible is an easy read :/

Books are at their base a form of spreading information and at the same time a form of entertainment. No chool book is completely bland and no fiction book has no moral. This is true of all books xD even if you can't find the information or entertainment. Books aren't a competition also. We must respect all those who read books :3

Bible = boring.

Some manga is mentually stimulating. in a sense. but books are always better. its especially fun when you guess what something is, but not what the point of it is. those are always fun to try to puzzle out. how can they use that one point?

Fallen Angel X

I agree. I attempted to read the dictionary ._. It was a terribly boring experience which I don't ever plan to attempt again. I don't think I got past A. Manga? I don't really read manga, surprisingly. I also like reading books and figuring out what's going on next but now I just realized, I hit a new fatigue level when I look at a book D: I guess I really can't read books for entertainment anymore :'(

Diokatsu

You never read the Bible...

Anyways, many well written books are in themselves a puzzle in a different sense than I think you mean Ulta. The enire book is strange and abstract and you know something is amiss, not in the way the plot progresses but the way the narrator tells it.

Fallen Angel X

So, you enjoy reading books to see how other people write and express their thoughts and views into a written form? I enjoyed reading books to get a feel of the characters in the book if it's a story. If it's a book that covers a concept and a concept alone, I read it b/c I'm curious about the concept.

And why don't we read the bible..? :???:

Diokatsu

Ulta never did....

Fallen Angel X

Perhaps but we can never truly know unless you know Ulta IRL. I find some stories in the bible interesting and others simply stupid. No offense. I can't read a book until twilight settles down. :'( I just hate reading when other people are raving about a mediocre book out there :(

You don't read the bible; you let your pastor read it for you (Which he doesn't even read :V: ). It's the closest you'll ever get to storytime now. ;_;

I read instruction manuals! Does that count as a book!? (Possibly a random and strange tone-changing post here) :3

What's osu!? It's a rhythm game. Thought I should have a signature with a working rank. ;P It's now clickable!

hey Houshi don't you think we should move this to Chat or something?

and yeah, never read the bible... I can't unfortunately. I am not able to stomach things I can't believe in. besides. If i would read the bible, I'd learn latin and read the Original thing.

Diokatsu

Hebrew and you can read the Old Testament in it's original. Greek you can read it in it's entirety but the Old Testament has been translated. I know Greek by happenstance.

You're right, I'll make the necessary operations right away.

While things like articles, magazines, and unfortunately yes, instruction manuals don't count as books, they do contain some interesting information. Well, instruction manuals can count as books in some aspect because they are long as a usual picture book. Magazines can also be one, but they're more of an evolved newsletter/newspaper which isn't a book. Articles aren't definitely books...
