Hey Blizzard I just played The Legend of Lexima 4 demo and it is the best thing ever. But what I want to know is how you created the credit thing at the start before going onto the title screen. And what other scripts do you use??

Your game is the best I've seen. :) :) :) :)

Fantasist

Custom-scripted scene, that's how he does it.
Do you like ambient/electronic music? Then you should promote a talented artist! Help out here. (I'm serious. Just listen to his work at least!)

Blizzard

You should see the intro scene of the full game. o.o; It's way better. Fantasist can confirm it and he hasn't even yet seen the full scene. xD

Blizzard

Mainly because I didn't finish the scene yet. ._.; You saw only the scene from the pre-beta. Beta 1 scene will be better with an improved second half.

That's cool but that still doesn't explain how I could do it or wat other scripts u use. :) :)

This is coming from the top of my head, but I believe he did something similar to this with Sir Lag-a-Lot. If not, then boo hoo, but it shows something interesting rather. I see the StormTronics Intro script there, perhaps that would be of use. You can further understand how he did something like that...I seriously can't recall how he did Lexima though, but maybe it required lots of title screens like Lag-a-Lot.

What's osu!? It's a rhythm game. Thought I should have a signature with a working rank. ;P It's now clickable!
Still Aqua's biggest fan (Or am I?).

Where is the forum that Blizzard explained it all on???

lol! you're talking to Blizzard here, he makes his own scripts for the most part. At least, EVERYTHING rmxp related in CP is made by Blizzard. He uses fileutils and some other stuff b/c making them is a pain, especially when it's made already. You can't get those scripts anywhere, they were exclusively made for CP.

That's right. That's when I realized how "custom made" that scene was. Check out Scene_Stormtronics in the demo and you'll get an idea.

@Star: Lot of images are used, but the result is a lot more than worth it, right ;)

Yeah and they're the best ever. All I really wanted was a way to make the title screen thing and his menu and battle systems with a few small changes. :)

Blizzard

I have Fileutils there only for a specific reason, I'm not going to use it in the end. xD

Yes, the scenes were basically made by moving, rotating, resizing and blending various images. ;)

Yes, there are many great scripts in CP that I made exclusively for it. Some of them are STCMS v6.4 DX, the CPBS and the CPMS which has been quite improved since the Final Demo. I even combined scripts and common events in some battles to make them more interesting. o.o;

If you're still wondering Exiled, go check out the demo of Chronicles of Sir Lag-A-Lot, in Projects, and then open the Scripts and view Scene_Stormtronics. It's really interesting what Blizzard did...And there's a lot of graphics here too...x_x

Looking at this just makes me wonder how much Graphics words are in Lexima's intro script.  :xD:

Blizzard

Basically the letters take up some space even though the compression makes up for it.
