Thanks!

Wait until you see it fully animated.  Looking around, expressions, blinking, the works!  Well, as much as can be done with moving a bunch of pictures around...

Heretic I am jealous of those maps.

And here is part of a underground city tile-set I been working on.

It's looking great so far. :)

Since I've never actually shown anything from my project here, suppose I'll throw a few screenshots up as well. I haven't worked on this for a few months now due to being a bit more busy lately, and a certain MMO *cough FFXIV:ARR cough* but I'm definitely planning to resume development at some point. Nothing too fancy but hope you guys like.

Nothing too fancy, just looks like a professional, polished game.  :o

The permanent solution for your problem would be to stop hanging out with stupid people.

Haha, thanks guys. Glad you feel that way. :P I was actually quite close to releasing somewhat of a playable alpha version, mainly just to test out the network stuff and introduce the game a bit. Once I get back into development, it should follow soon enough. (next few months are sadly going to be even more busy though, so no idea when that will be.)

Blizzard

I agree, those screenshots are good.

A lot of it comes from the tilesets you use.  Those maps use custom tilesets where basically a lot of stuff is just merged.  What that gives you is a lot more visual variety which makes maps look more interesting.  At least to a point...  Which is also a suggestion for your map.  Just a bit more visual variety.

Yeah, I had to correct some of the tileset pieces where they were off balance and smaller than usual, the screenshot was testing it to see if everything looked the size and positions they should be at.
I posted that picture cause not a lot of people here use that graphic style and it is something different besides the typical RMXP tilesets you see.

Can you use the guy to fight lol I imagine that looking funny in the show

Spoofus

I thought about animating it, but it would be a pain.

Made a few over some time ago for a project I'm currently working on...

one of the starting areas of the project:
Spoiler: ShowHide

an attempt at a special battle... it supposedly merged frontview, with a parallel event-based sideview battle
Spoiler: ShowHide

It got better over time...
Spoiler: ShowHide

even MUCH better when I added the right adds to the fight, (and the heavy machine gun sfx syncs perfectly to the animation so I kinda came here)
so yeah, guys deal with agents on frontview, you can spend Sesi's turn to pilot the robot on sideview vs another robot. all purely done with events ;)
Spoiler: ShowHide

These kinds of battles needed some kind of setting... so I started to map out a decent city-place, these were the runner up tileset comparisons:
Spoiler: ShowHide

Eventually I completed the city... gotta say, I can easily get 2-3 hours of solid gameplay out of it, should I properly start to map the interiors XD

Thanks for the reply :)

it sure feels nice to know someone is anticipating the project XD
although it's still far from done, I'll make sure to give it my all,

besides, I've got the best tutors I could possibly ask for in here XD

=============== Other Post =======================================

Abusing the [transfer player]'s fade option yielded some cool results....

basically it's 2 maps, same dimensions for boundaries, when fading, it looks like a new room materialized out of
nowhere.

I call it... the holographic room XD

would make an interesting way to hide chests in dungeons.
