The Gamecube Controller is the best choice, because everyone is accustomed to it already. For the Wii Mote, the player has to use the D Pad to actually move around, which is so cramped. The Nunchuk you have to easily understand to get it, and it may work better when you switch C with Z (You know what I mean when you see it). However, playing with the Gamecube controller makes the Wii Mote neglected, so it'll remain on and on for so long. So just get out the batteries for the Wii Mote, to save power and all for another game. Some advantages though with the Wii Mote is the vocal given to the character when you choose him.

It just isn't designed for a game that relies solely on button input. the GCN controller makes this feel like its predicesors, which at least I, was wanting. I was getting my but whooped with the WiiMote, but when I switched to a GCN controller, I whooped! I'd rather have good controls than a vocal, XD

The Wii Mote is the worst of the choices. You can still obtain sound with a Nunchuk, and you can also kick butt with it as well. Of course, it takes practice and adaption to get used to it...but the faster you get used to it, the better you are at Brawl and the higher IQ you have.

ok, here's the total time I've spent for accomplishing crap:

3:30 hours of brawling (450 matches):  Unllock all characters, all star mode, almost all stages, all assist trophies, most songs, and a good deal of other crap.

7 hours of Subspace Emissary:  Beat it all the way through on normal.  Got a fair amount of coins and stickers and trophies.  Unlock boss mode

1:30 hours of events and stadium:  Beat 35 events, unlock trophies and the last few stages and more.

My take on it:  Although you need to complete subspace emisary to unlock some events and stages, I would still play at least 300 brawls first to unlock a TON of other stuff.  Then go thru subspace.  Then events.

BTW What is with that last level of subspace?  RIDICULOUS!

Not going to pick on you FAX, I'm just saying this because it's always a healthy thing to and it's unhealthy thinking you're going to bombard everyone on Brawl. Estimating your skill from the original Smash Bros. is even worse than Melee. There are less characters, less stages, but you know that bit.

The maze one? I hated doing that 

No, Tabuu. The Great Maze is easy enough. Tabuu is just annoying.

lol i smoked tabuu on my second try (The first i got really close) on normal only using 3 characters: Metaknight, Link, and Charizard.  You just have to master dodging.  The great maze just took forever and it was repetitive.  there was really no need for it.  You basically had to go back through and beat the whole game again with your choice of characters.

@Ulta: Tabuu is the final boss for the Subspace Emissary.  He has tons of health and a lot of one-hit-kill moves.  He doesn't really have a background story or anything.

@Starrod:  How are you liking the new events?  Have you done that samus one on norfair (i think its number 33)?  Took me 20 tries.

Finished them all baby! The one about Norfair I believe is where you have to go to the safety capsule before Fox and Falcon do, and remain in there, while having a Sudden Death round? If that's the event, it took me quite a while to remain intact, it was annoying, but as much as the one where you're Diddy Kong and you help DK void against Sheik and erm...I can't remember the other guy, either Yoshi or Fox. I loved Advent of the Evil King, but then again, I'm the Gan Man Fan, of course I love it. The events are great, they have some humor, but they aren't as classical like in SSBM.

You finished Tabuu on Normal? I played it on Hard, he's not a walk in the park there you know.

He freakin' killed Master Hand. Master Hand wasn't to kill Tabuu, so he did a big punch at it. Nothing. Nothing worked. Master Hand then tried it again, but failed miserably and died. It looked so sad. 'Cuz Master Hand is cool, except in Smash Bros...he cheats. And Tabuu cheats too, especially with the Butterfly. Any easy to dodge that when you're at a high percentage? o.o

lol, I've played Brawl already, and I've had a ton of fun with it.

Best Char:  Marth or Snake
2nd Best:  Ike
3rd Best:  Metaknight
4th Best:  Link (Shadow style ^^)

Also, this is a funny trick...create an arena with falling blocks OVER spikes, and if you can get the block to respawn while you're under it but hitting the spikes, you'll keep bouncing until your damage is maxed out.
