I too like the Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. The grim reaper (or what ever it's english name is, i've read only one in english) is great, well actually all of them are.
Dan Brown is good, i'm currently reading Digiral Fortress bt him. I've also read da Vinci code. The book is hundred times better than the movie if you havn't seen it, but if you've seen the movie before reading the book, that dilludes it's greatness. So, don't watch the movie if you're going to read the book.
Also, i recommend R.A.Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books, i just love them. And, i could go on for hours... But i'll stop here, after saying that if you find a finnish sci-fi book (i mean by a finnish author) from Risto Isomäki or Isomaki since most countries don't use scandic letters... read them, because they are really good. I don't know if they've been translated but if they have, read. One of the books was entitled Kristalliruusu which means crystal rose in finnish. One of also entitled Gilgamesin tappio translated The defeat of Gilgamesh.
