Looks pretty nice. Mah turn! By the way. This doesn't relate to an rpg making program. This is my GreGoR Tilemap Engine at work! >:3

First screenie is of an advanced bird system. This system has birds flying in and out of the map in random intervals. It is way better looking than a normal "random" movement event and much more atmospheric.

Second screen is just of a menu.

I'm sorry rose. I do not see any birds. Not sure if there should be more then two pictures. I only see the map that looks normal and then a menu. Neighbors internet blows donkey doo doo.

Are you a coder?!
Who me? Why yes I am!
Ever have need a specific color but don't know the RGB or HEX values?!
ALL THE TIME!!!
Introducing, Proto Color Helper!
Spoiler: ShowHide

Programs almost done. Just have to finish the palettes section. Oh lord. I need to fix all of those "pallette" typos. Here are the planned features. (* = completed)
  • * Stay On Top ~ Keep window on top so you can just read the color off of the form.
  • * Form Opacity ~ Keeps the form transparent so it doesn't get in your way.
  • * Convert RGB to HEX and vica versa ~ Can type in any RGB value or HEX value and it'll give you the color data.
  • * Click on Color Sheet ~ Click anywhere on the color sheet to get a color.
  • * Minimize to Tray + Hotkeys ~ Minimize to the tray and access it with CTRL + Q for quick easy access.
  • Create, Save, Load, Use Custom Palettes ~ Save your favorite colors you use for coding into a palette, then access it later.

Making for practice and personal needs. :3

@My map: Hah, okay. I'm not sure how to make it less smooth, but I'll try somethin'. As for the spoiler thing- sorry about that. It won't happen again.  :^_^':

@Game Guy: That looks pretty awesome! What language did you make that in?

@RoseSkye: The bird system sounds cool, and the HUD and Menu looks awesome! My only thing with the menu is that it looks kinda strange that the character statics are ontop of the menu bars. I think it would look better if they were behind the bars.

@Spoofus, the battle system looks awesome XD. There isn't much else I can say, really. It's pretty cool ^^.

The Proto Color Helper thing looks pretty cool... I'm no coder, but It'll probably help out the ones that are lol!

G_G

@Map: Made it in C# and XNA.
@Color: Thanks ^_^

I like the cliffs in the second screenshot, they are really well done.

I would hope so... it took me two hours. It wasn't even all that huge but I kept giving myself harsh criticism. I would finish the map and then go "No, the perspective is off. Remake it and make sure it syncs up next time" and then "No, it's too generic. Delete and remake the map again. If the maps look alike the player will get bored" and then "No, the cliffs don't match up. Even if it's premade you still have to worry about perspective. The player may not know advanced mapping but everyone has a sixth sense that tells them when something doesn't look right." and after all that it was "the map is too empty." and now that I look at the screenies it's "the screen tone seems too purple for a water cave. try to emulate lighting better".

The Niche

Actually, I quite like that screen tone, it looks nice. For a second I thought you'd used a whole other tileset. Anyway, if anyone asks, just say it's Oppledeedopple smoke.
Level me down, I'm trying to become the anti-blizz!

Ah, excellent.  You liked my amusing sideshow, yes?  I'm just a simple fool, my wit entertains the wise, and my wisdom fools the fools.

I'm like the bible, widely hated and beautifully quotable.

Dropbox is this way, not any other way!

ForeverZer0

@roseskye:
That is some true sexiness.
I am done scripting for RMXP. I will likely not offer support for even my own scripts anymore, but feel free to ask on the forum, there are plenty of other talented scripters that can help you.

Try and make things look a little less square in your mapping; it doesn't look very natural.
