I've gotten so good at lying that I sometimes am unable to determine whether my own statements are truth or lie as I make them.  I think that's enough to get my labeled as a pathological liar.  I don't lie to fool people, I just like messing around with reality, reshaping the truth, etc.  But I do it far too often, and for no apparent reason.

So yeah, the real meaning behind that quote in my sig comes to light.

winkio I know what you're talking about. I spout utter lies for no apparent reason on occasions that don't even matter. Most of the time these lies are what I believe what really happened. Its weird.

I don't "lie", I mess around, I "play". It's natural. Have fun with it.

@Branden: It's not that he literally doesn't know whether he's lying or not. It's just that when he starts talking about something and is making it up on the spot, he acts congruently to that. He acts as if it's true and he doesn't even think about how he's lying. It's like this.

I don't lie about serious stuff. If somebody asks me what I do for a living, I tell them I'm a garbage man if I'm in the mood to mess around. If somebody asks me which programming languages I know, I tell them.

I rarely lie to people, but if I'm interviewed or have to fill out a question form for something? I start talking bullshit like there is no tomorrow, in a completely serious manner.

When I lie to mess around, depending on the situation I act as if I'm messing around or actually being serious. Their faces are priceless after I make a totally serious statement and then snicker for a moment because they believed me. xD

So, what? Relating to you the fact that you're not the -only- one is something that irritates you?

What, is this supposed to be a topic where we all go 'You're a bastard and you should feel bad'? Fuck that - you're a pretty chill fellow, and if you lie a lot, that's alright, we all do as well

If you honestly thing it's a psychological issue that you don't feel comfortable/confident in facing alone, there's people who can help you, professionally. We, your friends, are not those people. We're a bunch of fellow nerds and geeks from the intarwebnet who understand that we lie a lot, and that doesn't make us special in any way. You lie. You lie so often, you do it without thinking.

That's actually pretty damn common. It's one of the things that can help a person get very far in life. Lie, squash the people beneath you... it's ruthless. It's cunning. If it disagrees with your morals, do something about it.

But if you're going to abandon thread just because other people expressed empathy I'm going to have to lose a bit of respect for you.

Oh no, it has nothing to do with that, it's just I made this topic when I was really tired and had completely forgotten not to be personal on this site for a multitude of reasons, one of which is everyone's obsession with themselves.

I would leave it at that, but I have to address you saying you would lose a bit of respect for me.  Go ahead, do it anyway, it's not something I value highly like my ability to express myself, or think, or live.  Honestly some of you seem to judge so quickly that I know that even if you are at my throat today, you are just as likely to be at my side tomorrow.

I'd just like everyone to chill out so I can abandon this thread in peace.  That is all.
