Another quick method of winning, which unfortunately does count towards records is however to use a Standard Brawl. Once doing so, set the Ratio to 2.0 and the handicap to 300% for the enemy. One Stock is all it takes.


Well, we might as well start a little rundown with it. Since there's disappointingly 64 buddies avail, it better be wise to choose who you buddy up with. You know? A tournament is a great idea once more, someone should provoke Blizzard into viewing this.

Just found something that might help a few of us out:

And here's an easy way to do a lot of matches very quickly (in order to unlock characters):
under special melee, set stamina on and flower on head.  Then, give you opponent 1 stamina.  Your opponent will die instantly!

Another way is to beat Subspace -_-;;
You unlock characters that way, then you need to revisit certain stages to unlock Juggily, Wolf and Toon Link...

beating subspace and then going back and unlocking the last 3 characters takes about 10 hours, more if you try and go for 100% completion.  my way takes about 4 hours total.  Plus you unlock lots of other goodies in the challenges area such as new music, stages, trophies, and more.  I unlocked all but 6 characters in one hour.  Do THAT on subspace.

Also, turn speed to very fast in special options to save a few minutes.

How are we noobs? This is a perfectly valid way to unlock the characters, as it is added itself by Sakurai. Besides, you would need to unlock characters the Brawling way if Subspace you cannot do at a short time. For brawling, just battle 10 matches and boom, you get two characters (That is, you beat them).

I see nothing wrong in this method. Besides, if we were to cheat, we'd use all those shifty tactics such as Wavedashing, or quitting the game. That is cheating and is unfair. But we just need the characters at a fast time so we can do things such as...fight online buddies and practice for big items. Besides, you fail if you're a no lifer on Brawl (Playing for hours on hours for example).

I don't know...if you can play a high enough difficulty with Link on any mode in Solo, I may reconsider...But no online match at this point. Besides, you can always try out Toon Link.

OMG i cant believe you guys said Kirby sucked in Melee, he was my second best characer, the MArth thing was annoying... I could onyl beat it with Kirby.

If you're wifi screen doesn't look like their's then do what the description says.

Character that lost some of their former glory in the transition to brawl:
Link: slower + heaver.  Almost like ganondorf was.  Boomerang not as good, but bombs are better.  B-up not as good.
Marth:  Slower move speed, but other than that the same
Sheik: slower + weaker = worse
Samus: Tiny bit slower and bombs take longer to explode

@Ulta: Kirby was a lot stronger in original she was like the strongest got nerfed a lot in melee

Actually, Kirby have the one of the WORST smashes in the game, like Sheik.
They also tone it down for Yoshi.. but Snake's 3hit combo have a decent smash at the last hit, so thats why I pick him

Wait a second, so you're telling me you're estimating your skill already, thinking you would beat us, but you don't have the game and your credentials come from Melee? Not good. The better you are at Melee, the faster you'll adapt of course, but you still need to work to get to somewhere you really are...elite at.
