Well, here it is! It's far, far from finished of course. Far from beta testing, even. But regardless here it is. Expect lots of updates. If they don't come, remind me here, most likely means I just forgot to update the server :p

edit: It shows the server is offline. Did you configure it right? And did you make the project not encrypted on purpose?

Really? Im connected. It's of course got a new weird bug now that I've uploaded a download link  stuck on the character creation screen.

When it tries to connect, the game stops responding for a few seconds and then shows the server is offline. Did you port forward btw?

Yes, ive been connecting on my other laptops for days, im connected right now on my netbook and on the server computer.

Still not working. I think maybe since you have only connected on laptops, if they were in your house, you would not have needed to port forward for them to connect. That could be it, but I'm not sure. Did you definitely port forward correctly?

Yup, I did. Ports are open, I'm positive. Let me try to connect from my laptop, on a different network and see if that works.

In the client config, I see you put the IP as 192.168.0.5. I think that may be your internal IP, although I am not positive on that, and if that is the case, I'm 99% sure it needs to be your external IP. The internal IP is the one your supposed to put in the server config if I remember correctly.

edit: And I know this is only a demo, but you should get some RMX-OS scripts such as:

edit :: Now for some reason my ports arent working.. Messed something up in my router settings. Of course this has to happen right after I put up the download.

I don't mean to rush you, but unless you get this working in about the next 2 hours, I won't be able to test this at all for a week.

Trying to figure out what my routers doing.. reset it to defaults and reconfigured the ports, but no luck. I'll keep trying though, don't you worry.

*pokes* Making any progress on that router? Sorry if I seem impatient, I just wanted to try this before I left for a week so that I could give you some feedback.

I'm getting rather impatient myself.. I've reset the router to factory default twice now, restarted both computers, and reconfigured the port multiple times. Even using different ports, I haven't been able to get it to work. And I can't figure out a reason why. Dx

That sucks Hopefully you can get it working. Also, I MAY be interested in helping with this if you have any positions you need filled.

Its the setup of the port forwarding, and yes I did. Not that it matters, until I fix this stupid port it won't start the server.

modem is still acting up, so for now the servers down D; so saddening. I cant figure out for the life of me what's causing it, either.

On a side note, does anyone know how I could make an active server online/offline image for the main post? I wouldn't imagine it'd be too hard, but I wouldn't know where to start.
