[XP] Individual Skill Traits

Hello everyone

I have a script request, however I am in no knowledge as to how difficult or easy it would be. First off, let me explain the details of this request.

I want a script that sets up a 'Trait' for each character or actor I have in the database that gives them a set of unique skill. For example, I have:

Arshes on my database. I want to assign Arshes a 'Trait' called 'Pandemonium'. When Arshes is in battle, if a certain condition is met, then Arshes would cast a skill (any skill assigned, maybe of the same name as the trait). For example, if Arshes is weakened or poisoned, he would cast a Counter-Remedy skill that would remove the poison if he is poisoned.

I am intending to use them for a sample game and also as a learning material as to how these actually work. I recall seeing one for VXA, but then again since I am using XP, I wish someone could also do this for XP. I am in no level of editing or scripting myself, so a help is greatly appreciated. Yes, I can go to the conditions on the troop panel, however, it would take per box to be contained and there would be tons of eventing when it goes down to 10 actors or so. My purpose of asking it as a script is to lessen the work and assign an easier way to deal with the system.

I almost feel like this would be aimed at me... In a good way of course lolz...

(on that note, any chance I could get a custom title, something along the lines of "master of events" or something???  hehehe)




Also, yes, it can be done via events, and although as KK20 said, a bit tedious, you can do ALOT more than people think with events. Another thing you may want to consider, is although you want to cut back on work, if you do this with events, it would actually lessen more work, though down the road. It will be easier for you to get modifications done to it, since (I'm assuming), you yourself are not a scripter (otherwise why would you be requesting this), and any changes you need to do, would need to be outsourced to someone else. Event systems take a bit to set up, but you can change them yourself, copy it to another event, and change a little bit to make it work for a different character, etc.


If you simply need help getting this set up, let me know, and we should be able to work something out to help you get this accomplished...
