(good, I didn't want to be captured. I just wanted to spice thins up a bit :P  I was afraid you were going to follow my example and pass out when you smacked your head on the rock. And yes, I'll wake up soon)

Vell

-outside cave-

the captain was having a steady flow of soldiers charge in. he had some mages go in s well, thought he bulk of those were kept to protect the captain; he couldn't be killed, a captain of the King's Army, after all.

the captain thought he glimpsed the man who was asking about some fool bard or something. but that was a fool notion itself.

"FAELEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!" came a screaming shout.

the captain hated Faeleen.

so, he drew his blade.

but suddenly, the fool asking abot the bard appeared, carrying the Faeleen.

Cursing, the captain shouted, "THE BOY AND THE FAELEEN IS MINE! SCOUR THE DAMNED CAVE!"

and he ran after Kirema.

Fallen Angel X

Klara's smokescreen tactic seemed to work. She grabbed the soldier quickly and slit his throat with a sword. It wasn't easy but she was able to slip out unnoticed for the most part. She carried the corpse deeper into the cave.

Quote from: Klara(Thinking)This looks like a safe distance. If I don't suppress this craving it could affect my acting skills.

She ate his body whole and felt content for the moment. She was thinking a bit clearer now. But now she'd have to think of an excuse for having disappeared. She headed back. The Faeleen and the strange man had run away. Running however wouldn't work for her. She didn't look like she was spotted yet. She thought quickly. She changed her form once again into a soldier. She'd have to be careful not to attract any attention.

Kirema landed a safe distance from the soldiers and turned to check his back. His head was spinning so he looked carefully and saw nothing. He gently placed the body of the Faeleen down and began to investigate it. It seemed quite peaceful in it's gentle lull. Kirema saw that it was quite strong, as if it were a fighter for hire, that is to say a mercenary. Kirema heard a rustle behind him and snoapped up to see the captain that he had met at the bar...

"Well well. After this it looks like you and I'll have to go drinking again...."

Vell

the captain rushed at Kirema, screaming about how he'll kill every last Faeleen if it kills himself in the process. (Dio, you can take over the fight)

Aveyar
(sorry if I'm not very coherent or creative right now. Terrible headache.)

He felt a strange presence within him. The Echos...they were a dull throbbing deep within. They hadn't stopped since he passed out. He was aware of what was going on with his body. The one who had landed in the cave had saved him. But now, he heard a voice in his head.

Quote from: ???Aveayar...

The voice was the Echos. It Echoed through his entire mind, reverberating through his body. An image flashed in his mind. A boy of about 17 with blood red hair and silver eyes.

Then, the vision was gone. The Echos stopped.

Aveyar opened his eyes and pushed himself to his feet. He jumped up just as an arrow planted into his rescuer's arm. He didn't have his sword anymore, and he was low on Magic. This captain was just like the other humans. It was men like him that had caused Aveyar to live a life of an outcast.

Anger shot through Aveyar like a high powered electric storm. He forgot all of his combat training, and let his instincts take over. He lunged towards the captain, swinging his skeletal wings towards him. They were stronger than steel, and resembled bat-wings without any membrane. The captain was knocked to the ground. Aveyar lunged on top of the man, pinning him to the ground, his muscles bugling.

Aveyar bellowed in rage as he began to repeatedly punch the captain. The man's face was covered in blood as Aveyar slowly beat his face to a pulp. Slowly, he recovered his senses, and decided to make the dieing man useful. He plunged his tail into the man's side, and sucked out all but a small amount of the life force within him.

A dark smile on his face, Aveyar spoke quietly. "Now you're going to suffer."

Aveyar noticed the man had a small dagger strapped to his leg. Aveyar pulled this out, and cut off the man's fingers one at a time. The man screamed in pain. Aveyar chuckled. "This is what you get for hunting my kind like animals." Aveyar lifted the man up, shaking him as he shouted. "This is what you get for stealing my life from me. For forcing me to live the life of a lowly mercenary!"

Aveyar readied the dagger to plunge into the captain's heart.

(Now you see the angry side of Aveyar, XD Wouldn't you be ticked if you were him though?)

-edit (adding another comment)

(FINALLY, someone in this RP hates the Faeleen. I mean there's one guy saving me, one guy interested in me, a giant worm saves me, and I'm not quite sure what FAX's char thinks of me, XD Pity I had to kill the captain. Maybe I should make another character that hates Faeleens, and RP him, XD)

Valcos

(Lol... dont worry LB, I havent decided what i thought of him. Just Yak never seen something like that before :^_^':. Arghh... gotta catch up with the story!  :'()

Yak:

Yak, had been in cover while Aveyar fought. He decided to sit this one out, he wanted to evaluate his skills. He was quite strong, but it seemed he tired fast. He had passed out, the mages were to blame for that. There was another man to, he wielded a sword, and by the looks of it, he can manipulate the wind. A cloud of smoke came over the cave. But, before that, Whitey alerted me of who was doing so. It was the woman! The smokescreen was even to thick for Yak, and his incredible vision.

Quote from:  Yak (thinking)Why would she have done that?

The smoke cleared up shortly, and the Faeleen was gone. For a matter of fact, everyone was gone, except the soldiers.

Quote from:  YakWhitey... go.

Those two words were enough for Whitey to understand, what Yak meant. Yak stood up, there were at least 70+ men in this cave! He was still fiddling with the cloth in his hand.

Quote from:  Yak (thinking)Hmm... love to fight them but, meh.

Yak, started to walk out the cave, twirling the cloth, which was very amusing. A guard step up and said.

Quote from:  SoldierAre you one of the hostages!?

Yak, was somewhat confused by being considered a hostage. Still walking though.

Quote from:  YakYeah... hostage.

And he continued out of the cave. Whitey came flying quickly, there was a battle between a soldier and two men. It must be the Faeleen and the wind guy. Yak quickly ran into looking distance of the battle. Yak was rather tired and hungry to move at a fast pace. By the time, Yak, arrived the scene of the battle, Aveyar was in a rage. He was mounted on top of the soldier, who was wearing a uniform of a captain.

Quote from:  Yak (thinking)One of The Kings Captains!

Aveyar started to pound on him, then his tail plunged in to the captains side. He was draining the life out of him, you could see it in his face. Yak, sat down on a near rock, it was hard to watch what the Faeleen did next.

Quote from:  Yak (thinking)What is the purpose! Just kill him!

Yak, was not angered by this, but more so disgusted. It was hard to watch, a human, be tortured. Aveyar looked like he was going to finish the captain off. So, Yak, just sat there and waited.

Vyazar's sword - something that once existed out of reality, which, in a sense, Vyazar had given his reality to -was the only thing he could to touch physical reality. he was apart from everything now. in all literalities he didn't exist. his voice was but wind to the ears of all. he couldn't even contact another Eternity Born.

well, I couldn't. I wasn't sure if other Eternity Born could. perhaps the sword knew more about it than I did. but he wasn't sure.

he pushed his sword, or rather, the sword that owned him, into the ground.

Vyazar was curious if the Faeleen was going to get enraged and kill someone. in my time, there were no such thigns as Faeleen. or maybe there were Faeleen when he was physical.

I was also curious to see if anyone would notice an apparently unknown, impossibly long, sword was suddenly stucki n the ground nearby.

Valcos

Yak:

Yak, did not notice the sword, at the moment. He suddenly had the urge to stop this! He did not know this captain personally, but he came to the cave to save the hostages, which was Yak. So, out came the rifle, the one, Aveyar laughed at. Yak got up from the rock, and took a knee. He pointed the rifle at the hands of Aveyar, getting ready to shoot the dagger out of his hands. Actually, Yak, wanted to shoot the Faeleens hands, to see what his blood looked like, not to hurt him though. He steadied his aim, then fired!

Fallen Angel X

Klara quickly escaped from the cave in the disguise of a soldier. She avoided talking to anyone and quietly snuck out into the forest. She was a safe distance away now. She turned back into her previous form. She had grown a bit of a liking to it. What would she do now? She had no plans whatsoever. She'd have to find a new village to pick on, that's for sure. She'd also need to build up on her necromancy. It would be useful if another situation like this happens again. She sat down for a second and thought. She had a few leads on several necromancer artifacts that could prove useful. She would spend her time attaining them to speed up her process of learning the dark art. The first artifact that she knew about was an old amulet that increased a minion's durability. It would prove to be a valuable asset. It also happened to be close too. There was a museum in Gilgris that had the artifact on display. She'd have to plan a major heist to pull it off. That's when she heard the sound of gunfire.

Quote from: KlaraGunshot... The sniper!

He might've been in trouble but she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Of course none of the soldiers that saw her in this form lived, so she'd be safe in that aspect but she'd be able to do nothing. He was best left forgotten at the moment. She stood up and began walking home. Hopefully no one will bother her now.

Aveyar:

As he readied his dagger, going to snuff out the captain's knife, he heard a gunsot. His dagger was knocked from his hand, and he whirled towards the source. Another bullet fired towards him. He used Impact to knock the bullet off target. It took all the Magic he'd just gotten. Rage rushed through him, then suddenly...it was gone. The Echos stopped.

He dropped the captain, stepping away. He looked down at his hands in horror. He thrust his tail into the man. Leaving him in that state would be cruel.

Quote from: AveyarI'm sorry...

Aveyar said as the man's life faded.

He turned towards the sniper.

Quote from: Aveyar...I really am a monster. I deserve my fate.

Aveyar held out his arms, waiting for a shot.

I've proven their point. I have become a monster...I don't understand. I've never lost control like that

Then he felt an Echo, and rage began to boil through him again.

He clenched his fists, and began to laugh bitterly.

Quote from: AveyarMonster, am I? I did to him what he wanted to do to every one of my people.

He began to laugh, throwing his head back. A tinge of insanity was in his voice.

Then suddenly his voice was low and angry.

Quote from: AveyarIts people like him that have hunted my people like beasts. It's because of people like him that I was torn from my home and had to fight to keep myself from being killed.

He folded his arms, and glowered at all the men present.

Quote from: AveyarBefore you call me a monster, look at what your people have done to me. You stole my life, and now I am little more than your trained beast.

(anyone notice the correlation between the echos and the rage?)

Valcos

(Lol... actually not until you just mentioned it  :^_^': )

Yak:

Yak, was reading Aveyars lips as he spoke, they were to far of a distance to hear. It seemed he had, some kind of problem with him. From the words, Yak, had read, Aveyar had a horrible life. He has hatred for humans, not naturally, but, since they have done something to him. It was hard to feel sorry for such a creature. Yak, had a chance to possibly kill him, his energy was low, and a barrage of bullets to his head would hurt. Yak stood up, and stared into his eyes. He felt his pain, and did not want to end his life now. Yak, knows this could cost him, but, maybe this Faeleen has something to prove? To avoid any more contact with him, walked off into the forest. Several minutes later, Yak, sent out Whitey to give something to Aveyar. It was the cloth he was fiddling with. Yak did not want to be forgotten by him. Whitey flew over top Aveyar, the cloth was dropped, and it slowly floated down to his position.

(I felt like giving him a nervous breakdown, XD it was fun)

Aveyar:

Avyear stood, breathing heavily in anger. He watched the sniper walk away.

Humans...maybe they're not all the same.

He tensed as the bird flew over him. But all it did was drop a piece of cloth. He picked it up, expecting it to have some sort of message. There was nothing on it. Aveyar stuffed it in his pocket, and ran. The solders wouldn't ignore him much longer. Finding the creature for an alliance would have to wait until another day.

Even if some humans didn't see him as a monster, he still would right the wrongs that had been committed against them. He felt an overpowering Echo, and nearly toppled over.

What in the name of Melbyreth is with these echos?

Once he'd seen them as some sort of warning for danger. But now...what was going on with him. Something was definitely wrong. He hadn't thought about the times people had tried to murder him as a child. He hadn't thought of the monsters the humans had been. Until recently, he'd been grudgingly content with his lot in life.

He closed his eyes, concentrating on a single though.

We do not choose our lot in life, simply what we do with the life we've been given.

His foster-father had told him that time and time again. Yes, Aveyar would change things. He wouldn't be a monster anymore. He wouldn't be their trained mercenary beast either. He was going to forge his own destiny, rise above the pit fate had cast him in. He wasn't going to let the years of being treated like nothing more than a homicidal monster finally control him.

It is the extraordinary people, not the ordinary, that should rule.

Aveyar climbed a tree, hiding in the branches. The darkness was abating, the sun was rising. He was going to hide in this tree for a few more hours. Now that it was dawn, he didn't blend in with the environment anymore. He had to lay low.

As he sat in the tree, he began to contemplate what had happened. Why had the sniper spared him. What made Aveyar loose control like that. Why did the Echo make him pass out. And above all, who was that that he saw when he'd passed out?

As he thought about how he acted, he cursed himself. A few of the humans were starting to see him as an ally. Then he'd let that strange rage take over, and acted like the beast they all expected him to be.

There's a reason my foster-brother wanted me killed...

He really was a monster, wasn't he?

NO!

He clenched his teeth, trying to concentrate on something, ANYTHING, other than these self degrading thoughts.

Quote from: Aveyar(whisper)What's wrong with me...?

Valcos

Yak:

The sun was rising, and Yak was incredibly tired. He decided to set camp, even though it was almost morning. He sent Whitey out to fetch some food. White Death, was a very good hunter, it could hunt down fairly large animals, compared to itself. Both Yak and Whitey, ate the food and then rested. Yak, would sleep with one eye open.

Fallen Angel X

Klara stood outside her house. She grabbed all of her necessities and anything else of value and placed them into her bag. The bag was enchanted of course and as such it's carrying capacity was increased while keeping it practical and easy to hold. She wasn't attached to her house. She had been driven away from time to time, why would this time be any different? She set ablaze the house and headed towards the capital city in Gilgris. The museum that found the amulet was located there so it wasn't going to be easy. It was going to be extremely tough since murder in a city was always tough to cover up. Not to mention there was no use of skeletons at all. They'd attract to much attention. But perhaps that could work to her advantage as well. She would have to formulate her plan after visiting the museum and seeing it's security. In the end however, it won't be easy.

Quote from: KlaraThe sun is rising. It's a fresh new start and what better way to start then to steal a rare artifact.

Feeding was going to be a problem. If she stirred up to much trouble, security might end up tighter in the city. More security would be a definite problem. For now however, she had not even reached the city yet, nor was she close. She would take a shortcut through the forest. It would give her an opportunity to see the aftermath of the chaos at the cave.

She soon arrived to see the soldiers carrying the corpse of what appeared to be an important man in the military. What had happened?

Valcos

Yak:

Yak, was awaken by the sound of the soldiers. When there is that many men, moving about, it isn't to quiet. He didn't bother to see what they were doing, it was of no interest to him. Yak packed up his stuff, it was kind of a waste, since he only got a couple hours of sleep. But, it didn't bother him much, he had to be moving along anyways. The sun was up now, it was more of a redish color today. During Yaks earlier travels, he had heard of a mining town to the north of here. He was interested in going there, at the moment. It was about a dozen miles, approximately. Whitey could not yet see it, even at its highest point in the sky. Hopefully, there should be some events to happen along the way.

Kirema picked up his head off the ground to see a bloodied corpse before him and the signs of battle.

"How am I still alive...?" Kirema pndered this and layed his head back down, not getting anywhere. He fianlly got up and looked above him only to find the Faeleen he had seen earlier in the trees above him.

"I had figured you'd be ok! You seemed strong enough and my magic was wearing out! My name is Kirema, what's yours?
