Thats a photoshoped picture for an artical discussing the possibility of invisible surfaces :P The picture itself isnt real.

Its definetly possible though with mini cameras and screens, but I highly doubt it would work on any sort of cloths since its too flexable, it would probably work much better on a car, a cloaking device :D

You've obviously never heard of E-Ink or OLED. Go look 'em up, flexible screens are already here, and they will be modern within the next decade.

This is old news. There are a bunch of microscopic cameras and screens all around his dress, and a computer that calculates which screen and which camera is directly opposite of each other, and thus it can show what is on the other side.

Yes ive seen them, its nothing to do with the screen its the cameras moving around on a flexable surface, they wouldnt be able to get a proper viewing angle. And OLED isnt "that" flexable, not flexable enough for cloths anyway.

Waaiiiittt!! That's gonna be a hell of a tough job, it's not as easy as you say it. First is the performance issue, but if you make a system solely dedicated for it, it might be possible. Then there's the spectral range of the cams and screens. I find it hard to believe they can get the shades right. Sure, you'll be able to see what's on the other side, but you'll still feel the ghostly unnatural nature of the cloak.

But interesting however.
Do you like ambient/electronic music? Then you should promote a talented artist! Help out here. (I'm serious. Just listen to his work at least!)

Or we just use and invisability cloak that Harry Potter gave us.

This seems waaaay too much trouble (and no doubt cost) for a mere invisibility function, as Fant reinforced. And it will probably end up being (ab)used by pervs. o_O

I suggest we all turn ninja like Batman or even better...
