You know, imo all of those things about requiem sounds like downsides :P
Move to get more evasion is unnecessary, as long as you have to face your target to hit him, he will still be able to run behind you, or away from you. Also, it sounds like it could be pretty broken if the evasion bonus isn't limited. The reinforce system, instead of crafting system will actually create less diversity, because everyone would(should) just find out which is best for their class/role(tank, healer, dps) and go for it. Also, it weakens the player economy. Point 3 makes it sound like there is only 1 talent tree, while in wow there is 3. Also hybrid builds could be pretty powerful. For example "Shockadin" for those of you who knows what that is.

fugibo

But in WoW, noone is unique after a while.

Heather, none of those makes the game sound any interesting for me. I'll stick to Lunia. which, unfortunately, I find myself enjoying less as I get more a\bsorbed by Inuyasha.

G_G

Is lunia a pretty fun game? And is it free?

But in WoW, noone is unique after a while.

There is ofcourse a limit to how unique you can be in any game.. however in wow you can be pretty unique, because of all the variation within the classes. Paladins have 3 very different talent trees, and 4 different specs that all are very viable and require different gear. The new death knight class have 6 different specs and some of them require different gear.
Althought, because how hardcore raiding envoirments in wow is, two priests that specs for healing are both going to want the same gear, because that gear is the gear that offers the best healing bonuses.

Claiming that there is no variation in world of warcraft is like claiming there is no variation in the colors in the rainbow.

Blizzard

He said "after a while" and that's different.

lol, it means there's a level of INTERACTIVITY to the game, rather than just point and click.  Sounds like an upside to me.

Ok Ok, I literally burst out laughing here.
Because the crafting system in WoW does the exact same thing.  People find out what's best for their role and go with that.  Pot, meet Kettle.  'Nuff said.

One talent tree maybe, but it also sounds like a very expansive and customizable talent tree, offering more customization than limiting to 3 trees per class, considering that classes don't exist.

note: I'm not prejudice against WoW, I'm playing devil's advocate here.  I don't like WoW, but I don't think it's the worst trash to have been put on the market either, it's ok, I just don't like it.

If you are a melee in pvp you will be constantly moving around anyway. So it is just a downside for the casters, that have to stand still during long spellcasts.

Well, you are still going to get a stronger and more exciting player economy.

Yes, but it is very likely with one talent tree that everyone would go for exactly the same, if the community was as hardcore as the wow pve and pvp community.

To Game_guy:
Have anyone suggested Ragnarok Online yet? There are F2P servers there, and it is pretty good.

And about Lunia.. if you want to play that game, then this is what you are going to get.

Except that the graphic is going to suck too..

in WoW movement would be bad.  However this isn't the same game.  You really can't say it's a downside when the system for Requiem might and likely is very different.

so why isn't everybody the same class in WoW?

WoW is playable, but it is NOT the best game by a LONGSHOT.

Everyone who is not a fanboy/hater will agree. Therefore, it works. :P

King Munkey

I thought WoW was fun. Got to level 35 or somewhere around there. Played on my cousins level 70 some. But it did get boring fast and very frequently.

I played an mmo for a short period of time called Rappelz. Don't feel like searching through and seeing if someone else has posted it. I liked it a lot. But I just stopped playing as I played it on my laptop and yea I just got tired of it. It is free though.

G_G Is my hero!
