Well, I've been waiting around for Action Game Maker, now I just found out it was re-named to Indie Game Maker (IGM) and finally released for $90

Enterbrain has released IG Maker (Indie Game Maker) formerly known as Action Game Maker. This new engine allows you to make platformers, action rpg and shoot em up side scrollers. It supports the following screen resolutions (table taken from official site)



Image suport for BMP and PNG formats and auidio support for WAV and AIF formats. It also supports embedded wave loop commands made with programs like Yamaha's Wave Editor TWE

Finished games can be ported to the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE

Installing it now, I was gonna use it for making a platformer but I'll try out the action rpg, doubt it has a battle system more awesome than Blizz ABS
I'll edit this post if no one else posts after this one
Though one I'll say before I even test it is that since it can export games to the 360 through XNA, we're probably gonna be seeing alot of shitty Live arcade games

Well I tested it out, playformers, gravity is a bit too strong, you fall like a brick. Action RPG is basic. You can attack, use an item and use a secondary weapon, bombs, projectiles etc.
Definetly not as easy to use RPG Maker anyway, annoying to use really. I can't figure out how to set up events in this, they're called gadgets in IGM. As far as I can see, you can't use custom scripts.
It's kinda of a let down, not what I was expecting really. I don't think anyone will pay the $90 for this :/

The editor is just ugly really. If Stencyl is anything like it looked like from the screenshots before they took them down, it will pwn IGM in every way... whenever they decide to release it anyways

This was posted I believe in the COmputer section. ANd we have found out it sucks ass compared to blizz abs. But the topic was called Action game maker before the named change. It lags with tons of enemies to as blizz abs doesnt.

Well once u get to know it it aint bad ...
indeed, it has no option for editing script and stuff, wich is big -
but,if u master memories & switches u can do some nice stuff

IG Maker is actually good for making games like: Legend Of Zelda, Castlevania or
any kind jump and run and shootin games.
I dont know (yet) is it greater then Blizz-ABC or not, but i must say it's looks promising.
No good tutorial come with this prog, but some can be found in u google it

if u could trust me, only thing that is really bad is price. 90$???
