I agree with Blizz. It sounds like a selfish little attention grab for the RP section, if not a mild tantrum.
Boards are popular because people are interested in them.
People will always go to and post in the boards that interest them.
You can't just say "alright people that's enough Scripting, come be active in RP now", it doesn't work that way.
Definition of CommunityYeah, CP fits that fine, even with sections that are inactive.
This board was started by Blizz as an RM community, it's no surprise that the big draw is the scripting section, and the RM sections.
CP is and always was an RM board, all of the general chat section is entirely superfluous.
General chat is well and good, but I joined CP back when it was on invisionfree, because it was an RM board, not because it of General Chat or forum RP or any of that.
If you're that concerned about the community being "expanded", then go to invisionfree or pro boards and start an RP Community, and ask Blizz to affiliate.

in most of my RPs where people are actually serious(AKA the ones NOT on this forum) they tend to be around 4-5-6 paragraphs per post. but nowhere I go I actually have decent activity on the forum/RP section.
Sounds like you have the right idea going with that statement. RP communities will have serious Role players, RM communities have serious RPG Makers. It's not difficult to understand, is it?
Now, I like to RP every so often, but I'm an IRC role player. I tried forums once, it was too slow for my taste. That, and I haven't felt up to RP for a while as it stands, so you can't count on my participation any time soon.
tl;dr - would you like cheese with that whine?
